And the wholeוַ כָּלcommunityעֲדַתof the sonsבְּנֵיof Israelיִשְׂרָאֵלassembledיִּקָּהֲלוּat Shiloh,שִׁלֹהand they settledוַיַּשְׁכִּינוּthe tentאֹהֶלof meetingמוֹעֵדthere;שָׁםand the landוְהָאָרֶץwas subduedנִכְבְּשָׁהbefore them.לִפְנֵיהֶם
And there remainedוַיִּוָּתְרוּamong the sonsבִּבְנֵיof Israelיִשְׂרָאֵלsevenשִׁבְעָהtribesשְׁבָטִיםwhoאֲשֶׁרhad notלֹאdividedחָלְקוּtheir inheritance.נַחֲלָתָם
And Joshuaוַ יְהוֹשֻׁעַsaidיֹּאמֶרtoאֶלthe sonsבְּנֵיof Israel,יִשְׂרָאֵל“How longעַד אָנָהwill youאַתֶּםbe slackמִתְרַפִּיםabout going inלָבוֹאto take possessionלָרֶשֶׁתof the landהָאָרֶץthatאֲשֶׁרYHWH,יְהוָהthe Elohimאֱלֹהֵיof your fathers,אֲבוֹתֵיכֶםhas givenנָתַןyou?לָכֶם
Provideהָבוּfor yourselvesלָכֶםthreeשְׁלֹשָׁהmenאֲנָשִׁיםfor each tribe,לַשָּׁבֶטand I will send them;וְאֶשְׁלָחֵםand they will riseוְיָקֻמוּand walk aboutוְיִתְהַלְּכוּthrough the landבָאָרֶץand write itוְיִכְתְּבוּ אוֹתָהּaccording toלְפִיtheir inheritance,נַחֲלָתָםand comeוְיָבֹאוּto me.אֵלָי
And they shall divide itוְהִתְחַלְּקוּ אֹתָהּinto sevenלְשִׁבְעָהportions.חֲלָקִיםJudahיְהוּדָהshall stayיַעֲמֹדonעַלits territoryגְּבוּלוֹin the south,מִנֶּגֶבand the houseוּבֵיתof Josephיוֹסֵףshall stayיַעַמְדוּonעַלtheir territoryגְּבוּלָםin the north.מִצָּפוֹן
And youוְאַתֶּםshall writeתִּכְתְּבוּthe landהָאָרֶץin sevenשִׁבְעָהportionsחֲלָקִיםand bring itוַהֲבֵאתֶםto meאֵלַיhere,הֵנָּהand I will castוְיָרִיתִיfor youלָכֶםa lotגּוֹרָלhereפֹּהbeforeלִפְנֵיYHWHיְהוָהour Elohim.אֱלֹהֵינוּ
Forכִּיthe Levitesלַלְוִיִּםhave noאֵיןportionחֵלֶקamong you,בְּקִרְבְּכֶםforכִּיthe priesthoodכְהֻנַּתof YHWHיְהוָהistheir inheritance;נַחֲלָתוֹand Gad,וְגָדReuben,וּרְאוּבֵןand the halfוַחֲצִיtribeשֵׁבֶטof Manassehהַמְנַשֶּׁהhave receivedלָקְחוּtheir inheritanceנַחֲלָתָםbeyondמֵעֵבֶרthe Jordanלַיַּרְדֵּןto the east,מִזְרָחָהwhichאֲשֶׁרMosesמֹשֶׁהthe servantעֶבֶדof YHWHיְהוָהgaveנָתַןthem.”לָהֶם
So the menוַ הָאֲנָשִׁיםroseיָּקֻמוּand went,וַיֵּלֵכוּand Joshuaוַ יְהוֹשֻׁעַcommandedיְצַוthose who were goingהַהֹלְכִיםto writeלִכְתֹּבthe land,הָאָרֶץsaying,לֵאמֹר“Go,לְכוּand walk aboutוְהִתְהַלְּכוּthrough the land,בָאָרֶץand write it,וְכִתְבוּ אוֹתָהּand returnוְשׁוּבוּto me;אֵלַיand hereוּפֹהI will castאַשְׁלִיךְfor youלָכֶםa lotגּוֹרָלbeforeלִפְנֵיYHWHיְהוָהin Shiloh.”בְּשִׁלֹה
And the menוַ הָאֲנָשִׁיםwentיֵּלְכוּand passedוַיַּעַבְרוּthrough the landבָאָרֶץand wrote itוַיִּכְתְּבוּby citiesהָ לֶעָרִיםin sevenלְשִׁבְעָהportionsחֲלָקִיםinעַלa book;סֵפֶרand they cameוַיָּבֹאוּtoאֶלJoshua,יְהוֹשֻׁעַtoאֶלthe camp,הַמַּחֲנֶהat Shiloh.שִׁלֹה
And Joshuaוַ יְהוֹשֻׁעַcastיַּשְׁלֵךְfor themלָהֶםa lotגּוֹרָלin ShilohבְּשִׁלֹהbeforeלִפְנֵיYHWH;יְהוָהand thereוַ שָׁםJoshuaיְהוֹשֻׁעַdividedיְחַלֶּקthe landהָאָרֶץto the sonsלִבְנֵיof Israelיִשְׂרָאֵלaccording to their divisions.כְּמַחְלְקֹתָם
And the lotוַ גּוֹרַלof the tribeמַטֵּהof the sonsבְנֵיof Benjaminבִנְיָמִןaccording to their familiesלְמִשְׁפְּחֹתָםcame up,יַּעַלand the territoryוַ גְּבוּלof their lotגּוֹרָלָםwent outיֵּצֵאbetweenבֵּיןthe sonsבְּנֵיof Judahיְהוּדָהandוּבֵיןthe sonsבְּנֵיof Joseph.יוֹסֵף
And their borderוַ לָהֶם הַגְּבוּלon the north sideלִפְאַת צָפוֹנָהwasיְהִיfromמִןthe Jordan,הַיַּרְדֵּןand the borderוְ הַגְּבוּלwent upעָלָהtoאֶלthe slopeכֶּתֶףof Jerichoיְרִיחוֹon the north,מִצָּפוֹןand went upוְעָלָהthrough the hill countryבָהָרwestward,יָמָּהand its endsוְ תֹּצְאֹתָיוwereהָיוּat the wildernessמִדְבַּרָהof Beth-aven.בֵּית אָוֶן
And from thereוְ מִשָּׁםthe borderהַגְּבוּלpassed alongעָבַרto Luz,לוּזָהtoאֶלthe slopeכֶּתֶףof Luzלוּזָהon the southנֶגְבָּה(thatהִיאisBethel);בֵּית אֵלand the borderוְ הַגְּבוּלwent downיָרַדto Ataroth-addar,עַטְרוֹת אַדָּרonעַלthe hillהָהָרthatאֲשֶׁרissouthמִנֶּגֶבof LowerתַּחְתּוֹןBeth-horon.לְבֵית חֹרוֹן
And the borderוְ הַגְּבוּלbentתָאַרand turnedוְנָסַבon the west sideלִפְאַת יָםsouthwardנֶגְבָּהfromמִןthe hillהָהָרthatאֲשֶׁרliesover againstעַל פְּנֵיBeth-horonבֵית חֹרוֹןon the south,נֶגְבָּהand its endsוְ תֹצְאֹתָיוwereהָיוּatאֶלKiriath-baalקִרְיַת בַּעַל(thatהִיאisKiriath-jearim),קִרְיַת יְעָרִיםa cityעִירof the sonsבְּנֵיof Judah.יְהוּדָהThisזֹאתwasthe westיָםside.פְּאַת
And the southוּ נֶגְבָּהsideפְאַתwasfrom the endמִקְצֵהof Kiriath-jearim;קִרְיַת יְעָרִיםand the borderוְ הַגְּבוּלwent outיָצָאwestward,יָמָּהand went outוְיָצָאtoאֶלthe springמַעְיַןof the watersמֵיof Nephtoah;נֶפְתּוֹחַ
and the borderוְ הַגְּבוּלwent downיָרַדtoאֶלthe endקְצֵהof the mountainהָהָרthatאֲשֶׁרliesover againstעַל פְּנֵיthe Valleyגֵּיof Ben-hinnom,בֶן הִנֹּםwhichאֲשֶׁרisin the Valleyבְּעֵמֶקof Rephaimרְפָאִיםto the north;צָפוֹנָהand it went downוְיָרַדby the Valleyגֵּיof Hinnomהִנֹּםtoאֶלthe slopeכֶּתֶףof the Jebusiteהַיְבוּסִיon the south,נֶגְבָּהand went downוְיָרַדto En-rogel;עֵין רֹגֵל
and it bentוְתָאַרnorthwardמִצָּפוֹןand went outוְיָצָאto En-shemesh,עֵין שֶׁמֶשׁand went outוְיָצָאtoאֶלGeliloth,גְּלִילוֹתwhichאֲשֶׁרisoppositeנֹכַחthe Ascentמַעֲלֵהof Adummim,אֲדֻמִּיםand went downוְיָרַדto the stoneאֶבֶןof Bohanבֹּהַןsonבֶּןof Reuben;רְאוּבֵן
and it passed alongוְעָבַרtoאֶלthe slopeכֶּתֶףoppositeמוּלthe Arabahהָעֲרָבָהon the north,צָפוֹנָהand went downוְיָרַדto the Arabah;הָעֲרָבָתָה
and the borderוְ הַגְּבוּלpassed alongעָבַרtoאֶלthe slopeכֶּתֶףof Beth-hoglahבֵּית חָגְלָהon the north;צָפוֹנָהand the endsוְ תֹּצְאוֹתof the borderהַגְּבוּלwereהָיוּatאֶלthe northצָפוֹנָהbayלְשׁוֹןof the SaltהַמֶּלַחSea,יָםatאֶלthe mouthקְצֵהof the Jordan,הַיַּרְדֵּןto the south.נֶגְבָּהThisזֶהwasthe southנֶגֶבborder.גְּבוּל
And the Jordanוְהַיַּרְדֵּןbordered itיִגְבֹּל אֹתוֹon the east side.לִפְאַת קֵדְמָהThisזֹאתwasthe inheritanceנַחֲלַתof the sonsבְּנֵיof Benjamin,בִנְיָמִןby its bordersלִגְבוּלֹתֶיהָall around,סָבִיבaccording to their families.לְמִשְׁפְּחֹתָם
And the citiesוְ הֶעָרִיםof the tribeלְמַטֵּהof the sonsבְּנֵיof Benjaminבִנְיָמִןaccording to their familiesלְמִשְׁפְּחוֹתֵיהֶםwere:הָיוּJericho,יְרִיחוֹBeth-hoglah,וּבֵית חָגְלָהEmek-keziz,וְעֵמֶק קְצִיץ
Beth-arabah,וּבֵית הָעֲרָבָהZemaraim,וּצְמָרַיִםBethel,וּבֵית אֵל
Avvim,וְהָעַוִּיםParah,וְהַפָּרָהOphrah,וְעָפְרָה
Chephar-ammoni,וּכְפַר הָעַמֹּנָהOphni,וְהָעָפְנִיand Geba:וָגָבַעtwelveשְׁתֵּים עֶשְׂרֵהcitiesעָרִיםwith their villages.וְחַצְרֵיהֶן
Gibeon,גִּבְעוֹןRamah,וְהָרָמָהBeeroth,וּבְאֵרוֹת
Mizpeh,וְהַמִּצְפֶּהChephirah,וְהַכְּפִירָהMozah,וְהַמֹּצָה
Rekem,וְרֶקֶםIrpeel,וְיִרְפְּאֵלTaralah,וְתַרְאֲלָה
Zela,וְצֵלַעEleph,הָאֶלֶףthe Jebusiteוְהַיְבוּסִי(thatהִיאisJerusalem),יְרוּשָׁלִַםGibeah,גִּבְעַתand Kiriath:קִרְיַתfourteenאַרְבַּע עֶשְׂרֵהcitiesעָרִיםwith their villages.וְחַצְרֵיהֶןThisזֹאתisthe inheritanceנַחֲלַתof the sonsבְּנֵיof Benjaminבִנְיָמִןaccording to their families.לְמִשְׁפְּחֹתָם
