To the angelΤῷ ἀγγέλῳof the assemblyτῆς ἐκκλησίαςinἐνEphesusἘφέσῳwrite:γράψονThis is whatΤάδεthe one who holdsὁ κρατῶνthe sevenτοὺς ἑπτὰstarsἀστέραςinἐνhis right hand,τῇ δεξιᾷ αὐτοῦthe one who walksὁ περιπατῶνinἐνthe middleμέσῳof the sevenτῶν ἑπτὰgoldenτῶν χρυσῶνlampstands,λυχνιῶνsays:λέγει

I knowΟἶδαyour works,τὰ ἔργα σουandκαὶyour toilτὸν κόπονandκαὶyourσουendurance,τὴν ὑπομονήνandκαὶthatὅτιyou cannotοὐ δύνῃbearβαστάσαιevil people,κακούςandκαὶthatyou have testedἐπείρασαςthose who callτοὺς λέγονταςthemselvesἑαυτοὺςapostlesἀποστόλουςandκαὶareεἰσίνnot,οὐκandκαὶyou have foundεὗρεςthemαὐτοὺςfalse;ψευδεῖς

andκαὶyou haveἔχειςendurance,ὑπομονὴνandκαὶyou have borne upἐβάστασαςfor the sake ofδιὰmy name,τὸ ὄνομά μουandκαὶyou have notοὐgrown weary.κεκοπίακες

ButἀλλὰI haveἔχωthisagainstκατὰyou,σοῦthatὅτιyou have abandonedἀφῆκεςyourσουfirstτὴν πρώτηνlove.τὴν ἀγάπην

Remember,μνημόνευεthen,οὖνfrom whereπόθενyou have fallen,πέπτωκαςandκαὶchange your mind,μετανόησονandκαὶdoποίησονthe firstτὰ πρῶταworks;ἔργαotherwise,εἰ δὲ μήI am comingἔρχομαίto youσοιandκαὶI will removeκινήσωyour lampstandτὴν λυχνίαν σουfromἐκits place,τοῦ τόπου αὐτῆςunlessἐὰν μὴyou change your mind.μετανοήσῃς

Butἀλλὰyou haveἔχειςthis,τοῦτοthatὅτιyou hateμισεῖςthe worksτὰ ἔργαof the Nicolaitans,τῶν ΝικολαϊτῶνwhichἃI alsoκἀγὼhate.μισῶ

Whoeverὁhasἔχωνan ear,οὖςlet him hearἀκουσάτωwhatτίthe Spiritτὸ πνεῦμαsaysλέγειto the assemblies.ταῖς ἐκκλησίαιςTo the one who conquersτῷ νικῶντιI will giveδώσωthe rightto eatφαγεῖνfromἐκthe treeτοῦ ξύλουof life,τῆς ζωῆςwhichὅisἐστινinἐνthe paradiseτῷ παραδείσῳof God.τοῦ θεοῦ1

I knowΟἶδάyourσουafflictionτὴν θλῖψινandκαὶpovertyτὴν πτωχείαν(butἀλλὰyou areεἶrich),πλούσιοςandκαὶthe blasphemyτὴν βλασφημίανfromἐκthose who sayτῶν λεγόντωνthat theyἑαυτούςareεἶναιJewsἸουδαίουςandκαὶareεἰσίνnot,οὐκbutἀλλὰarea synagogueσυναγωγὴof Satan.τοῦ Σατανᾶ

Do notμηδὲνfearφοβοῦany of the thingsthatἃyou are aboutμέλλειςto suffer.πάσχεινLook,ἰδοὺthe devilὁ διάβολοςis aboutμέλλειto throwβάλλεινsomeofἐξyouὑμῶνintoεἰςprison,φυλακὴνso thatἵναyou may be tested,πειρασθῆτεandκαὶyou will haveἕξετεafflictionθλῖψινfor tenδέκαdays.ἡμερῶνBeγίνουfaithfulπιστὸςuntilἄχριdeath,θανάτουandκαὶI will giveδώσωyouσοιthe crownτὸν στέφανονof life.τῆς ζωῆς

Whoeverὁhasἔχωνan ear,οὖςlet him hearἀκουσάτωwhatτίthe Spiritτὸ πνεῦμαsaysλέγειto the assemblies.ταῖς ἐκκλησίαιςThe one who conquersὁ νικῶνwill neverοὐ μὴbe harmedἀδικηθῇbyἐκthe secondτοῦ δευτέρουdeath.τοῦ θανάτου

I knowΟἶδαwhereποῦyou live,κατοικεῖςwhereὅπουthe throneὁ θρόνοςof Satanτοῦ Σατανᾶis.Andκαὶyou hold fastκρατεῖςmy name,τὸ ὄνομά μουandκαὶyou did notοὐκdenyἠρνήσωmy faithτὴν πίστιν μουevenκαὶinἐνthe daysταῖς ἡμέραιςof Antipas,Ἀντιπᾶςmyμουwitness,ὁ μάρτυςmyμουfaithful one,ὁ πιστόςwhoὃςwas killedἀπεκτάνθηamongπαρ’you,ὑμῖνwhereὅπουSatanὁ Σατανᾶςlives.κατοικεῖ

ButἀλλὰI haveἔχωa few thingsὀλίγαagainstκατὰyou,σοῦthatὅτιyou haveἔχειςthereἐκεῖsomewho hold fastκρατοῦνταςthe teachingτὴν διδαχὴνof Balaam,ΒαλαάμwhoὃςtaughtἐδίδασκενBalakτῷ Βαλὰκto putβαλεῖνa stumbling blockσκάνδαλονbeforeἐνώπιονthe sonsτῶν υἱῶνof Israel,Ἰσραήλto eatφαγεῖνfood sacrificed to idolsεἰδωλόθυταandκαὶto commit sexual immorality.πορνεῦσαι1

Soοὕτωςyou alsoκαὶ σὺhaveἔχειςsomewho hold fastκρατοῦνταςthe teachingτὴν διδαχὴνof the NicolaitansΝικολαϊτῶνin the same way.ὁμοίως

Change your mind,μετανόησονthen;οὖνotherwise,εἰ δὲ μήI am comingἔρχομαίto youσοιsoon,ταχύandκαὶI will make warπολεμήσωagainstμετ’themαὐτῶνwithἐνthe swordτῇ ῥομφαίᾳof my mouth.τοῦ στόματός μου

Whoeverὁhasἔχωνan ear,οὖςlet him hearἀκουσάτωwhatτίthe Spiritτὸ πνεῦμαsaysλέγειto the assemblies.ταῖς ἐκκλησίαιςTo the one who conquersτῷ νικῶντιI will giveδώσωsomeof the hiddenτοῦ τοῦ κεκρυμμένουmanna,μάνναandκαὶI will giveδώσωhimαὐτῷa whiteλευκήνstone,ψῆφονandκαὶonἐπὶthe stoneτὴν ψῆφονa newκαινὸνnameὄνομαwrittenγεγραμμένονthatὃno oneοὐδεὶςknowsοἶδενexceptεἰ μὴthe one who receives it.ὁ λαμβάνων

I knowΟἶδάyourσουworks,τὰ ἔργαandκαὶyourσουloveτὴν ἀγάπηνandκαὶfaithτὴν πίστινandκαὶserviceτὴν διακονίανandκαὶendurance,τὴν ὑπομονήνandκαὶthatyourσουlastτὰ ἔσχαταworksτὰ ἔργαaremore thanπλείοναthe first.τῶν πρώτων

ButἀλλὰI haveἔχωthisagainstκατὰyou,σοῦthatὅτιyou tolerateἀφεῖςthe womanτὴν γυναῖκαJezebel,Ἰεζάβελwho callsἡ λέγουσαherselfἑαυτὴνa prophetess,προφῆτινandκαὶshe teachesδιδάσκειandκαὶdeceivesπλανᾷmyτοὺς ἐμοὺςslavesδούλουςto commit sexual immoralityπορνεῦσαιandκαὶto eatφαγεῖνfood sacrificed to idols.εἰδωλόθυτα

AndκαὶI gaveἔδωκαherαὐτῇtimeχρόνονtoἵναchange her mind,μετανοήσῃandκαὶshe does notοὐwantθέλειto change her mindμετανοῆσαιfromἐκher sexual immorality.τῆς πορνείας αὐτῆς

Look,ἰδοὺI am throwingβάλλωherαὐτὴνontoεἰςa bed,κλίνηνandκαὶthose who commit adulteryτοὺς μοιχεύονταςwithμετ’herαὐτῆςintoεἰςgreatμεγάληνaffliction,θλῖψινunlessἐὰν μὴthey change their mindsμετανοήσωσινfromἐκherαὐτῆςworks.τῶν ἔργων

Andκαὶher childrenτὰ τέκνα αὐτῆςI will killἀποκτενῶwithἐνdeath;θανάτῳandκαὶallπᾶσαιthe assembliesαἱ ἐκκλησίαιwill knowγνώσονταιthatὅτιIἐγώamεἰμιthe one who searchesὁ ἐραυνῶνkidneysνεφροὺςandκαὶhearts,καρδίαςandκαὶI will giveδώσωto you,ὑμῖνto each one,ἑκάστῳaccording toκατὰyour works.τὰ ἔργα ὑμῶν1

Butδὲto youὑμῖνI say,λέγωto the restτοῖς λοιποῖςinτοῖς ἐνThyatira,Θυατείροιςall whoὅσοιdo notοὐκhaveἔχουσινthisταύτηνteaching,τὴν διδαχὴνwhoοἵτινεςhave notοὐκknownἔγνωσανwhat they callὡς λέγουσινthe deep thingsτὰ βαθέαof Satan:τοῦ ΣατανᾶI am notοὐputtingβάλλωonἐφ’youὑμᾶςany otherἄλλοburden;βάρος

onlyπλὴνwhatὃyou have,ἔχετεhold fastκρατήσατεuntilἄχρι οὗ ἂνI come.ἥξω

Andκαὶthe one who conquersὁ νικῶνandκαὶthe one who keepsὁ τηρῶνmy worksτὰ ἔργα μουuntilἄχριthe end,τέλουςI will giveδώσωhimαὐτῷauthorityἐξουσίανoverἐπὶthe nations,τῶν ἐθνῶν1

andκαὶhe will shepherdποιμανεῖthemαὐτοὺςwithἐνan ironσιδηρᾷrod,ῥάβδῳasὡςthe clayτὰ κεραμικὰpotsτὰ σκεύηare shattered,συντρίβεται

asὡςI alsoκἀγὼhave received authorityεἴληφαfromπαρὰmy Father;τοῦ πατρός μουandκαὶI will giveδώσωhimαὐτῷthe morningτὸν πρωϊνόνstar.τὸν ἀστέρα
