Butδὲthere wereἘγένοντοalsoκαὶfalse prophetsψευδοπροφῆταιamongἐνthe people,τῷ λαῷasὡςalsoκαὶamongἐνyouὑμῖνthere will beἔσονταιfalse teachers,ψευδοδιδάσκαλοιwhoοἵτινεςwill secretly bring inπαρεισάξουσινpartiesαἱρέσειςof destruction,ἀπωλείαςevenκαὶdenyingἀρνούμενοιthe Sovereignτὸν δεσπότηνwho boughtἀγοράσανταthem,αὐτοὺςbringingἐπάγοντεςon themselvesἑαυτοῖςswiftταχινὴνdestruction.ἀπώλειαν
Andκαὶmanyπολλοὶwill followἐξακολουθήσουσινtheirαὐτῶνdebaucheries,ταῖς ἀσελγείαιςbecause ofδι’whomοὓςthe wayἡ ὁδὸςof truthτῆς ἀληθείαςwill be blasphemed.βλασφημηθήσεται
Andκαὶinἐνgreedπλεονεξίᾳwith made-upπλαστοῖςwordsλόγοιςthey will make merchandise ofἐμπορεύσονταιyou.ὑμᾶςFor themοἷςthe judgmentτὸ κρίμαfrom long agoἔκπαλαιis notοὐκidle,ἀργεῖandκαὶtheir destructionἡ ἀπώλεια αὐτῶνis notοὐasleep.νυστάζει
ForγὰρifΕἰGodὁ θεὸςdid notοὐκspareἐφείσατοangelsἀγγέλωνwho sinned,ἁμαρτησάντωνbutἀλλὰcast them into Tartarusταρταρώσαςandhanded them overπαρέδωκενto chainsσειραῖςof gloom,ζόφουbeing keptτηρουμένουςforεἰςjudgment;κρίσιν
andκαὶdid notοὐκspareἐφείσατοthe ancientἀρχαίουworld,κόσμουbutἀλλὰpreservedἐφύλαξενNoah,Νῶεa heraldκήρυκαof righteousness,δικαιοσύνηςwith seven others,ὄγδοονwhen he broughtἐπάξαςa floodκατακλυσμὸνon the worldκόσμῳof the ungodly;ἀσεβῶν
andκαὶcondemnedκατέκρινενthe citiesπόλειςof SodomΣοδόμωνandκαὶGomorrahΓομόρραςto destruction,καταστροφῇreducing them to ashes,τεφρώσαςhaving made themτεθεικώςan exampleὑπόδειγμαfor the ungodlyἀσεβέσινof what is coming;μελλόντων
andκαὶrescuedἐρρύσατοrighteousδίκαιονLot,Λὼτdistressedκαταπονούμενονbyὑπὸthe conductτῆς ἀναστροφῆςinἐνdebaucheryἀσελγείᾳof the lawlessτῶν ἀθέσμων
(forγὰρby what he sawβλέμματιandκαὶheard,ἀκοῇthat righteous man,ὁ δίκαιοςlivingἐγκατοικῶνamongἐνthem,αὐτοῖςwas tormentingἐβασάνιζενhis righteousδικαίανsoulψυχὴνdayἡμέρανafterἐξdayἡμέραςwith their lawlessἀνόμοιςdeeds);ἔργοις
the Lordκύριοςknows howοἶδενto rescueῥύεσθαιthe godlyεὐσεβεῖςfromἐκtrial,πειρασμοῦandδὲto keepτηρεῖνthe unrighteousἀδίκουςunder punishmentκολαζομένουςforεἰςthe dayἡμέρανof judgment,κρίσεως
andδὲespeciallyμάλισταthose whoτοὺςwalkπορευομένουςafterὀπίσωthe fleshσαρκὸςinἐνdefilingμιασμοῦdesireἐπιθυμίᾳandκαὶdespiseκαταφρονοῦνταςauthority.κυριότητοςBold,Τολμηταίarrogant,αὐθάδειςthey do notοὐtrembleτρέμουσινwhen they blasphemeβλασφημοῦντεςthe glories,δόξας
whereasὅπουangels,ἄγγελοιthough they areὄντεςgreaterμείζονεςin strengthἰσχύϊandκαὶpower,δυνάμειdo notοὐbringφέρουσινagainstκατ’themαὐτῶνa blasphemousβλάσφημονjudgment.κρίσιν
Butδέthese,οὗτοιlikeὡςirrationalἄλογαanimals,ζῷαbornγεγεννημέναby natureφυσικὰforεἰςcaptureἅλωσινandκαὶdestruction,φθοράνblasphemingβλασφημοῦντεςinἐνmatters of whichοἷςthey are ignorant,ἀγνοοῦσινwill alsoκαὶbe destroyedφθαρήσονταιinἐνtheir destruction,τῇ φθορᾷ αὐτῶν
suffering wrongἀδικούμενοιas the wageμισθὸνof their unrighteousness.ἀδικίαςThey considerἡγούμενοιluxuryτὴν τρυφήνinἐνbroad daylightἡμέρᾳa pleasure;ἡδονὴνthey arestainsσπίλοιandκαὶblemishes,μῶμοιrevelingἐντρυφῶντεςinἐνtheir deceptionsταῖς ἀπάταις αὐτῶνwhile they feast withσυνευωχούμενοιyou.ὑμῖν
They haveἔχοντεςeyesὀφθαλμοὺςfullμεστοὺςof adulteryμοιχαλίδοςandκαὶinsatiableἀκαταπαύστουςfor sin;ἁμαρτίαςthey enticeδελεάζοντεςunsteadyἀστηρίκτουςsouls;ψυχὰςthey haveἔχοντεςa heartκαρδίανtrainedγεγυμνασμένηνin greed;πλεονεξίαςthey arechildrenτέκναof a curse.κατάρας
Forsakingκαταλιπόντεςthe straightεὐθεῖανway,ὁδὸνthey have gone astray,ἐπλανήθησανfollowingἐξακολουθήσαντεςthe wayτῇ ὁδῷof Balaamτοῦ Βαλαὰμthe son of Bosor,τοῦ Βοσὸρwhoὃςlovedἠγάπησενthe wagesμισθὸνof unrighteousness,ἀδικίας
butδὲhe receivedἔσχενa rebukeἔλεγξινfor his ownἰδίαςtransgression:παρανομίαςa muteἄφωνονbeast of burdenὑποζύγιονspeakingφθεγξάμενονwithἐνa humanἀνθρώπουvoiceφωνῇrestrainedἐκώλυσενthe madnessτὴν παραφρονίανof the prophet.τοῦ προφήτου
TheseΟὗτοίareεἰσινwaterlessἄνυδροιspringsπηγαὶandκαὶmistsὁμίχλαιdrivenἐλαυνόμεναιbyὑπὸa storm;λαίλαποςfor themοἷςthe gloomὁ ζόφοςof darknessτοῦ σκότουςhas been reserved.τετήρηται
Forγὰρutteringφθεγγόμενοιswelling wordsὑπέρογκαof futility,ματαιότητοςthey enticeδελεάζουσινwithἐνdesiresἐπιθυμίαιςof the flesh,σαρκὸςwith debaucheries,ἀσελγείαιςthose whoτοὺςare barelyὀλίγωςescapingἀποφεύγονταςfrom those whoτοὺςliveἀναστρεφομένουςinἐνerror,πλάνῃ
promisingἐπαγγελλόμενοιthemαὐτοῖςfreedomἐλευθερίανwhile they themselvesαὐτοὶareὑπάρχοντεςslavesδοῦλοιof corruption;τῆς φθορᾶςforγάρby whatᾧanyoneτιςis overcome,ἥττηταιto thisτούτῳhe is alsoκαὶenslaved.δεδούλωται
Forγὰρif,εἰafter they have escapedἀποφυγόντεςthe defilementsτὰ μιάσματαof the worldτοῦ κόσμουthroughἐνthe knowledgeἐπιγνώσειof the Lordτοῦ κυρίουandκαὶSaviorσωτῆροςJesusἸησοῦthe Messiah,Χριστοῦthey are againπάλινentangledἐμπλακέντεςin themτούτοιςand overcome,ἡττῶνταιthe last stateτὰ ἔσχαταhas becomeγέγονενfor themαὐτοῖςworseχείροναthan the first.τῶν πρώτων
Forγὰρit would have beenἦνbetterκρεῖττονfor themαὐτοῖςnotμὴto have knownἐπεγνωκέναιthe wayτὴν ὁδὸνof righteousnessτῆς δικαιοσύνηςthan,ἢhaving known it,ἐπιγνοῦσινto turn backὑποστρέψαιfromἐκthe holyτῆς ἁγίαςcommandmentἐντολῆςhanded downπαραδοθείσηςto them.αὐτοῖς
