And he led meוַיּוֹלִכֵנִיto the gate,אֶל הַשָּׁעַרthe gateשַׁעַרthatאֲשֶׁרfacesפֹּנֶהtoward the east.דֶּרֶךְ הַקָּדִים
And look,וְהִנֵּהthe gloryכְּבוֹדof the Elohimאֱלֹהֵיof Israelיִשְׂרָאֵלwas comingבָּאfrom the wayמִדֶּרֶךְof the east;הַקָּדִיםand his soundוְקוֹלוֹwas like the soundכְּקוֹלof manyרַבִּיםwaters,מַיִםand the earthוְהָאָרֶץshoneהֵאִירָהwith his glory.מִכְּבֹדוֹ
And it was like the appearanceוּכְמַרְאֵהof the visionהַמַּרְאֶהthatאֲשֶׁרI saw,רָאִיתִיlike the visionכַּמַּרְאֶהthatאֲשֶׁרI sawרָאִיתִיwhen I cameבְּבֹאִיto destroyלְשַׁחֵתthe city;הָעִירand visionsוּמַרְאוֹתlike the visionכַּמַּרְאֶהthatאֲשֶׁרI sawרָאִיתִיby the riverאֶל נְהַרChebar;כְּבָרand I fellוָאֶפֹּלon my face.אֶל פָּנָי
And the gloryוּכְבוֹדof YHWHיְהוָהcameבָּאinto the houseאֶל הַבָּיִתby wayדֶּרֶךְof the gateשַׁעַרthatאֲשֶׁרfacedפָּנָיוtoward the east.דֶּרֶךְ הַקָּדִים
And a spiritרוּחַlifted me upוַתִּשָּׂאֵנִיand brought meוַתְּבִיאֵנִיinto the inner court;אֶל הֶחָצֵר הַפְּנִימִיand look,וְהִנֵּהthe gloryכְבוֹדof YHWHיְהוָהfilledמָלֵאthe house.הַבָּיִת
And I heardוָאֶשְׁמַעone speakingמִדַּבֵּרto meאֵלַיfrom the house,מֵהַבָּיִתand a manוְאִישׁwasהָיָהstandingעֹמֵדbeside me.אֶצְלִי
And he saidוַיֹּאמֶרto me,אֵלַי“Sonבֶּןof man,אָדָםthis is the placeמְקוֹםof my throneכִּסְאִיand the placeוְ מְקוֹםof the solesכַּפּוֹתof my feet,רַגְלַיwhereאֲשֶׁר שָׁםI will dwellאֶשְׁכָּןin the midstבְּתוֹךְof the sonsבְּנֵיof Israelיִשְׂרָאֵלforever;לְעוֹלָםand the houseבֵּיתof Israelיִשְׂרָאֵלwill no longerוְלֹא עוֹדdefileיְטַמְּאוּmy holyקָדְשִׁיname,שֵׁםtheyהֵמָּהand their kings,וּמַלְכֵיהֶםby their prostitutionבִּזְנוּתָםand by the corpsesוּבְפִגְרֵיof their kingsמַלְכֵיהֶםin their high places,בָּמוֹתָם
by settingבְּתִתָּםtheir thresholdסִפָּםby my thresholdאֶת סִפִּיand their doorpostוּמְזוּזָתָםbesideאֵצֶלmy doorpost,מְזוּזָתִיwith only the wallוְהַקִּירbetween meבֵּינִיand them;וּבֵינֵיהֶםand they defiledוְטִמְּאוּmy holyקָדְשִׁיnameשֵׁםby their abominationsבְּתוֹעֲבוֹתָםthatאֲשֶׁרthey committed;עָשׂוּso I consumedוָאֲכַלthemאֹתָםin my anger.בְּאַפִּי
Nowעַתָּהlet them put far awayיְרַחֲקוּtheir prostitutionזְנוּתָםand the corpsesוּפִגְרֵיof their kingsמַלְכֵיהֶםfrom me,מִמֶּנִּיand I will dwellוְשָׁכַנְתִּיin their midstבְתוֹכָםforever.לְעוֹלָם
You,אַתָּהsonבֶןof man,אָדָםdeclareהַגֵּדto the houseאֶת בֵּיתof Israelיִשְׂרָאֵלthe house,אֶת הַבַּיִתthat they may be ashamedוְיִכָּלְמוּof their iniquities;מֵעֲוֺנוֹתֵיהֶםand let them measureוּמָדְדוּthe proportion.אֶת תָּכְנִית
And ifוְאִםthey are ashamedנִכְלְמוּof allמִכֹּלthatאֲשֶׁרthey have done,עָשׂוּthe formצוּרַתof the houseהַבַּיִתand its arrangementוּתְכוּנָתוֹand its exitsוּמוֹצָאָיוand its entrancesוּמוֹבָאָיוand allוְכָלits formsצוּרֹתָוand allוְ כָּלits statutes,חֻקֹּתָיוand allוְכָלits formsצוּרֹתָיוand allוְכָלits instructionsתּוֹרֹתָיוmake knownהוֹדַעto them,אוֹתָםand write itוּכְתֹבbefore their eyes,לְעֵינֵיהֶםso that they may keepוְיִשְׁמְרוּallכָּלits formצוּרָתוֹand allוְ כָּלits statutes,חֻקֹּתָיוand doוְעָשׂוּthem.אוֹתָם
Thisזֹאתis the instructionתּוֹרַתof the house:הַבָּיִתon the topעַל רֹאשׁof the mountainהָהָרallכָּלits territoryגְּבֻלוֹall aroundסָבִיב סָבִיבshall be most holy.קֹדֶשׁ קָדָשִׁיםLook,הִנֵּהthisזֹאתis the instructionתּוֹרַתof the house.הַבָּיִת
And theseוְאֵלֶּהare the measurementsמִדּוֹתof the altarהַמִּזְבֵּחַin cubitsבָּאַמּוֹת(the cubit beingאַמָּהa cubitאַמָּהand a handbreadth):וָטֹפַחthe base,וְחֵיק הָa cubit,אַמָּהand a cubitוְאַמָּהwide,רֹחַבand its borderוּגְבוּלָהּonאֶלits rimשְׂפָתָהּall around,סָבִיבoneהָאֶחָדspan;זֶרֶתand thisוְזֶהis the elevationגַּבof the altar.הַמִּזְבֵּחַ
And from the baseוּמֵחֵיקon the earthהָאָרֶץtoעַדthe lowerהַתַּחְתּוֹנָהledge,הָעֲזָרָהtwoשְׁתַּיִםcubits,אַמּוֹתand the width,וְרֹחַבoneאֶחָתcubit;אַמָּהand from the smallerוּמֵהֳ הַקְּטַנָּהledgeעֲזָרָהtoעַדthe largerהַגְּדוֹלָהledge,הָעֲזָרָהfourאַרְבַּעcubits,אַמּוֹתand the width,וְרֹחַבa cubit.הָאַמָּה
And the altar hearth,וְהַהַרְאֵלfourאַרְבַּעcubits;אַמּוֹתand from the altar hearthוּמֵהָאֲרִאֵילand upward,וּלְמַעְלָהthe horns,הַקְּרָנוֹתfour.אַרְבַּע
And the altar hearthוְהָאֲרִיאֵלwas twelveשְׁתֵּים עֶשְׂרֵהlongאֹרֶךְby twelveבִּשְׁתֵּים עֶשְׂרֵהwide,רֹחַבsquareרָבוּעַonאֶלits fourאַרְבַּעַתsides.רְבָעָיו
And the ledge,וְהָעֲזָרָהfourteenאַרְבַּע עֶשְׂרֵהlongאֹרֶךְby fourteenבְּאַרְבַּע עֶשְׂרֵהwide,רֹחַבonאֶלits fourאַרְבַּעַתsides;רְבָעֶיהָand the borderוְהַגְּבוּלaroundסָבִיבit,אוֹתָהּhalfחֲצִיa cubit,הָאַמָּהand its baseוְהַחֵיק לָהּa cubitאַמָּהall around;סָבִיבand its stepsוּמַעֲלֹתֵהוּfaceפְּנוֹתeast.”קָדִים
And he saidוַיֹּאמֶרto me,אֵלַי“Sonבֶּןof man,אָדָםthusכֹּהsaysאָמַרAdonaiאֲדֹנָיYHWH:יְהוִהTheseאֵלֶּהare the statutesחֻקּוֹתof the altarהַמִּזְבֵּחַon the dayבְּיוֹםit is made,הֵעָשׂוֹתוֹfor offering upלְהַעֲלוֹתon itעָלָיוburnt offeringעוֹלָהand for splashingוְלִזְרֹקon itעָלָיוblood.דָּם
And you shall giveוְנָתַתָּהto the priests,אֶל הַכֹּהֲנִיםthe Levites,הַלְוִיִּםwhoאֲשֶׁרareהֵםof the offspringמִזֶּרַעof Zadok,צָדוֹקwho come nearהַקְּרֹבִיםto me,אֵלַיdeclaresנְאֻםAdonaiאֲדֹנָיYHWH,יְהוִהto minister to me,לְשָׁרְתֵנִיa young bullפַּר בֶּן בָּקָרas a sin offering.לְחַטָּאת
And you shall takeוְלָקַחְתָּsome of its bloodמִדָּמוֹand put itוְנָתַתָּהon its fourעַל אַרְבַּעhornsקַרְנֹתָיוand onוְאֶלthe fourאַרְבַּעcornersפִּנּוֹתof the ledgeהָעֲזָרָהand onוְאֶלthe borderהַגְּבוּלall around;סָבִיבand you shall purify it from sinוְחִטֵּאתָ אוֹתוֹand make expiation for it.וְכִפַּרְתָּהוּ
And you shall takeוְלָקַחְתָּthe bullהַפָּרof the sin offering,הַחַטָּאתand he shall burn itוּשְׂרָפוֹin the appointed placeבְּמִפְקַדof the house,הַבַּיִתoutsideמִחוּץthe sanctuary.לַמִּקְדָּשׁ
And on the second dayוּבַיּוֹם הַשֵּׁנִיyou shall presentתַּקְרִיבa male goatשְׂעִיר עִזִּיםwithout defectתָּמִיםas a sin offering;לְחַטָּאתand they shall purifyוְחִטְּאוּthe altarהַמִּזְבֵּחַfrom sin,חִטְּאוּasכַּאֲשֶׁרthey purified it from sinחִטְּאוּwith the bull.בַּפָּר
When you have finishedבְּכַלּוֹתְךָpurifying from sin,מֵחַטֵּאyou shall presentתַּקְרִיבa young bullפַּר בֶּן בָּקָרwithout defect,תָּמִיםand a ramוְאַיִלfrom the flockמִן הַצֹּאןwithout defect.תָּמִים
And you shall present themוְהִקְרַבְתָּםbeforeלִפְנֵיYHWH,יְהוָהand the priestsוְ הַכֹּהֲנִיםshall throwהִשְׁלִיכוּsaltמֶלַחon them,עֲלֵיהֶםand offerוְהֶעֱלוּthemאוֹתָםas a burnt offeringעֹלָהto YHWH.לַיהוָה
For sevenשִׁבְעַתdaysיָמִיםyou shall offerתַּעֲשֶׂהa goatשְׂעִירas a sin offeringחַטָּאתevery day;לַיּוֹםand a young bullוּפַר בֶּן בָּקָרand a ramוְאַיִלfrom the flock,מִן הַצֹּאןwithout defect,תְּמִימִיםthey shall offer.יַעֲשׂוּ
For sevenשִׁבְעַתdaysיָמִיםthey shall make expiationיְכַפְּרוּfor the altarהַמִּזְבֵּחַand cleanseוְטִהֲרוּit,אֹתוֹand ordain it.וּמִלְאוּ יָדָיו
And when they have completedוִיכַלּוּthe days,הַיָּמִיםit shall beוְהָיָהthat on the eighth dayבַיּוֹם הַשְּׁמִינִיand onward,וָהָלְאָהthe priestsהַכֹּהֲנִיםshall offerיַעֲשׂוּon the altarעַל הַמִּזְבֵּחַyour burnt offeringsעוֹלוֹתֵיכֶםand your peace offerings;וְ שַׁלְמֵיכֶםand I will acceptוְרָצִאתִיyou,אֶתְכֶםdeclaresנְאֻםAdonaiאֲדֹנָיYHWH.”יְהֹוִה
