The wordהַדָּבָרthatאֲשֶׁרIsaiahיְשַׁעְיָהוּsonבֶּןof AmozאָמוֹץsawחָזָהconcerningעַלJudahיְהוּדָהand Jerusalem.וִירוּשָׁלִָם
And it will happenוְהָיָהat the endבְּאַחֲרִיתof the daysהַיָּמִיםthat the mountainהַרof the houseבֵּיתof YHWHיְהוָהwill beיִהְיֶהestablishedנָכוֹןat the topבְּרֹאשׁof the mountains,הֶהָרִיםand it will be lifted upוְנִשָּׂאabove the hills;מִגְּבָעוֹתand allכָּלthe nationsהַגּוֹיִםwill streamוְנָהֲרוּto it,אֵלָיו
and manyרַבִּיםpeoplesעַמִּיםwill goוְהָלְכוּand say,וְאָמְרוּ“Come,לְכוּand let us go upוְנַעֲלֶהto the mountainאֶל הַרof YHWH,יְהוָהto the houseאֶל בֵּיתof the Elohimאֱלֹהֵיof Jacob,יַעֲקֹבand he will teach usוְיֹרֵנוּof his ways,מִדְּרָכָיוand we will walkוְנֵלְכָהin his paths.”בְּאֹרְחֹתָיוForכִּיout of Zionמִצִּיּוֹןwill go forthתֵּצֵאinstruction,תוֹרָהand the wordוּדְבַרof YHWHיְהוָהfrom Jerusalem.מִירוּשָׁלִָם
And he will judgeוְשָׁפַטbetween the nationsבֵּין הַגּוֹיִםand decideוְהוֹכִיחַfor manyלְ רַבִּיםpeoples;עַמִּיםand they will beatוְכִתְּתוּtheir swordsחַרְבוֹתָםinto mattocksלְאִתִּיםand their spearsוַחֲנִיתוֹתֵיהֶםinto pruning knives;לְמַזְמֵרוֹתnationגוֹיwill notלֹאlift upיִשָּׂאswordחֶרֶבagainst nation,אֶל גּוֹיnorוְלֹאwill they learnיִלְמְדוּwarמִלְחָמָהanymore.עוֹד
Houseבֵּיתof Jacob,יַעֲקֹבcome,לְכוּand let us walkוְנֵלְכָהin the lightבְּאוֹרof YHWH.יְהוָה
Forכִּיyou have forsakenנָטַשְׁתָּהyour people,עַמְּךָthe houseבֵּיתof Jacob,יַעֲקֹבbecauseכִּיthey are fullמָלְאוּfrom the east,מִקֶּדֶםand have soothsayersוְעֹנְנִיםlike the Philistines,כַּפְּלִשְׁתִּיםand with the childrenוּבְיַלְדֵיof foreignersנָכְרִיםthey clasp hands.יַשְׂפִּיקוּ
Their landאַרְצוֹhas been filledוַתִּמָּלֵאwith silverכֶּסֶףand gold,וְזָהָבand there is noוְאֵיןendקֵצֶהto their treasures;לְאֹצְרֹתָיוtheir landאַרְצוֹhas been filledוַתִּמָּלֵאwith horses,סוּסִיםand there is noוְאֵיןendקֵצֶהto their chariots.לְמַרְכְּבֹתָיו
Their landאַרְצוֹhas been filledוַתִּמָּלֵאwith idols;אֱלִילִיםto the workלְמַעֲשֵׂהof their handsיָדָיוthey bow down,יִשְׁתַּחֲווּto whatלַאֲשֶׁרtheir fingersאֶצְבְּעֹתָיוhave made.עָשׂוּ
And human beingsאָדָםare bowed down,וַיִּשַּׁחand manאִישׁis brought lowוַיִּשְׁפַּל— do notוְאַלforgiveתִּשָּׂאthem!לָהֶם
Goבּוֹאinto the rockבַצּוּרand hideוְהִטָּמֵןin the dustבֶּעָפָרfrom beforeמִפְּנֵיthe dreadפַּחַדof YHWHיְהוָהand from the majestyוּמֵהֲדַרof his loftiness.גְּאֹנוֹ
The haughtyגַּבְהוּתeyesעֵינֵיof human beingsאָדָםwill be brought low,שָׁפֵלand the heightרוּםof menאֲנָשִׁיםwill be bowed down,וְשַׁחand YHWHיְהוָהaloneלְבַדּוֹwill be set on highוְנִשְׂגַּבon that day.בַּיּוֹם הַהוּא
ForכִּיYHWHיהוָהTsevaotצְבָאוֹתhas a dayיוֹם לַagainst allעַל כָּלthat is proudגֵּאֶהand lofty,וָרָםand against allוְעַל כָּלthat is lifted up,נִשָּׂאand it will be brought low;וְשָׁפֵל
and against allוְעַל כָּלthe cedarsאַרְזֵיof Lebanon,הַלְּבָנוֹןloftyהָרָמִיםand lifted up,וְהַנִּשָּׂאִיםand against allוְעַל כָּלthe oaksאַלּוֹנֵיof Bashan;הַבָּשָׁן
and against allוְעַל כָּלthe loftyהָרָמִיםmountains,הֶהָרִיםand against allוְעַל כָּלthe hillsהַגְּבָעוֹתthat are lifted up;הַנִּשָּׂאוֹת
and against everyוְעַל כָּלhighגָּבֹהַtower,מִגְדָּלand against everyוְעַל כָּלfortifiedבְצוּרָהwall;חוֹמָה
and against allוְעַל כָּלthe shipsאֳנִיּוֹתof Tarshish,תַּרְשִׁישׁand against allוְעַל כָּלthe desirableהַחֶמְדָּהimages.שְׂכִיּוֹת
And the haughtinessגַּבְהוּתof human beingsהָאָדָםwill be bowed down,וְשַׁחand the heightרוּםof menאֲנָשִׁיםbrought low,וְשָׁפֵלand YHWHיְהוָהaloneלְבַדּוֹwill be set on highוְנִשְׂגַּבon that day.בַּיּוֹם הַהוּא
And the idolsוְהָאֱלִילִיםwill pass awayיַחֲלֹףcompletely.כָּלִיל
And they will goוּבָאוּinto the cavesבִּמְעָרוֹתof the rocksצֻרִיםand into the holesוּבִמְחִלּוֹתof the dust,עָפָרfrom beforeמִפְּנֵיthe dreadפַּחַדof YHWHיְהוָהand from the majestyוּמֵהֲדַרof his loftiness,גְּאוֹנוֹwhen he risesבְּקוּמוֹto terrifyלַעֲרֹץthe earth.הָאָרֶץ
On that dayבַּיּוֹם הַהוּאhuman beingsהָאָדָםwill throw awayיַשְׁלִיךְtheir idolsאֱלִילֵיof silverכַסְפּוֹand their idolsוְ אֱלִילֵיof gold,זְהָבוֹwhichאֲשֶׁרthey madeעָשׂוּfor themselvesלוֹto bow down to,לְהִשְׁתַּחֲוֺתto the molesלַחְפֹּר פֵּרוֹתand to the bats,וְלָעֲטַלֵּפִים
to goלָבוֹאinto the cleftsבְּנִקְרוֹתof the rocksהַצֻּרִיםand into the crevicesוּבִסְעִפֵיof the crags,הַסְּלָעִיםfrom beforeמִפְּנֵיthe dreadפַּחַדof YHWHיְהוָהand from the majestyוּמֵהֲדַרof his loftiness,גְּאוֹנוֹwhen he risesבְּקוּמוֹto terrifyלַעֲרֹץthe earth.הָאָרֶץ
Have doneחִדְלוּ לָכֶםwith the human beingמִן הָאָדָםwhoאֲשֶׁרhas breathנְשָׁמָהin his nostrils,בְּאַפּוֹforכִּיat whatבַמֶּהis heהוּאto be reckoned?נֶחְשָׁב
