You,אַתָּהwith your hand,יָדְךָdispossessedהוֹרַשְׁתָּnations,גּוֹיִםand planted them;וַתִּטָּעֵםyou mistreatedתָּרַעpeoples,לְאֻמִּיםand spread them out.וַתְּשַׁלְּחֵם
Forכִּיnotלֹאby their swordבְחַרְבָּםdid they possessיָרְשׁוּthe land,אָרֶץand their armוּזְרוֹעָםdid notלֹאsave them,הוֹשִׁיעָה לָּמוֹbutכִּיyour right handיְמִינְךָand your armוּזְרוֹעֲךָand the lightוְאוֹרof your face,פָּנֶיךָforכִּיyou took pleasure in them.רְצִיתָם
You yourself areאַתָּה הוּאmy King,מַלְכִּיElohim;אֱלֹהִיםcommandצַוֵּהthe salvationsיְשׁוּעוֹתof Jacob.יַעֲקֹב
Through youבְּךָour adversariesצָרֵינוּwe gore;נְנַגֵּחַin your nameבְּשִׁמְךָwe trampleנָבוּסthose who rise against us.קָמֵינוּ
Forכִּיnotלֹאin my bowבְקַשְׁתִּיdo I trust,אֶבְטָחand my swordוְחַרְבִּיdoes notלֹאsave me.תוֹשִׁיעֵנִי
Butכִּיyou have saved usהוֹשַׁעְתָּנוּfrom our adversaries,מִצָּרֵינוּand those who hate usוּמְשַׂנְאֵינוּyou have put to shame.הֱבִישׁוֹתָ
In Elohimבֵּאלֹהִיםwe have boastedהִלַּלְנוּallכָלthe day,הַיּוֹםand to your nameוְשִׁמְךָforeverלְעוֹלָםwe will give thanks.נוֹדֶהSelah.סֶלָה
Butאַףyou have rejected usזָנַחְתָּand humiliated us,וַתַּכְלִימֵנוּand you do notוְלֹאgo outתֵצֵאwith our armies.בְּצִבְאוֹתֵינוּ
You make us turnתְּשִׁיבֵנוּbackאָחוֹרfrom the adversary,מִנִּי צָרand those who hate usוּמְשַׂנְאֵינוּplunderשָׁסוּfor themselves.לָמוֹ
You give us upתִּתְּנֵנוּlike sheepכְּצֹאןfor food,מַאֲכָלand among the nationsוּבַגּוֹיִםyou have scattered us.זֵרִיתָנוּ
You sellתִּמְכֹּרyour peopleעַמְּךָfor nothing,בְלֹא הוֹןand you have notוְלֹאgainedרִבִּיתָby their price.בִּמְחִירֵיהֶם
You make usתְּשִׂימֵנוּa reproachחֶרְפָּהto our neighbors,לִשְׁכֵנֵינוּa mockeryלַעַגand a derisionוָקֶלֶסto those around us.לִסְבִיבוֹתֵינוּ
You make usתְּשִׂימֵנוּa bywordמָשָׁלamong the nations,בַּגּוֹיִםa shakingמְנוֹדof the headרֹאשׁamong the peoples.בַּל אֻמִּים
Allכָּלthe dayהַיּוֹםmy humiliationכְּלִמָּתִיis before me,נֶגְדִּיand the shameוּבֹשֶׁתof my faceפָּנַיhas covered me,כִּסָּתְנִי
at the voiceמִקּוֹלof the one who reproachesמְחָרֵףand reviles,וּמְגַדֵּףbecause ofמִפְּנֵיthe enemyאוֹיֵבand the one who takes revenge.וּמִתְנַקֵּם
Allכָּלthisזֹאתhas come upon us,בָּאַתְנוּyet we have notוְלֹאforgotten you,שְׁכַחֲנוּךָnorוְלֹאhave we been falseשִׁקַּרְנוּto your covenant.בִּבְרִיתֶךָ
Our heartלִבֵּנוּhas notלֹאturnedנָסוֹגback,אָחוֹרnor have our stepsוַ אֲשֻׁרֵינוּstrayedתֵּטfrom your path,מִנִּי אָרְחֶךָ
thoughכִּיyou have crushed usדִכִּיתָנוּin the placeבִּמְקוֹםof jackalsתַּנִּיםand covered usוַתְּכַס עָלֵינוּwith the shadow of death.בְצַלְמָוֶת
Ifאִםwe had forgottenשָׁכַחְנוּthe nameשֵׁםof our Elohimאֱלֹהֵינוּand spread outוַנִּפְרֹשׂour palmsכַּפֵּינוּto a strangeלְ זָרgod,אֵל
would notהֲלֹאElohimאֱלֹהִיםsearch outיַחֲקָרthis?זֹאתForכִּיheהוּאknowsיֹדֵעַthe secretsתַּעֲלֻמוֹתof the heart.לֵב
Forכִּיfor your sakeעָלֶיךָwe are killedהֹרַגְנוּallכָלthe day;הַיּוֹםwe are countedנֶחְשַׁבְנוּas sheepכְּצֹאןfor slaughter.טִבְחָה
Wake up!עוּרָהWhyלָמָּהdo you sleep,תִישַׁןAdonai?אֲדֹנָיRouse yourself!הָקִיצָהDo notאַלreject usתִּזְנַחforever.לָנֶצַח
Whyלָמָּהdo you hideתַסְתִּירyour face,פָנֶיךָand forgetתִּשְׁכַּחour afflictionעָנְיֵנוּand our oppression?וְלַחֲצֵנוּ
Forכִּיour soulנַפְשֵׁנוּhas sunk downשָׁחָהto the dust;לֶעָפָרour bellyבִּטְנֵנוּclingsדָּבְקָהto the earth.לָאָרֶץ
Rise up,קוּמָהas helpעֶזְרָתָהfor us,לָּנוּand ransom usוּפְדֵנוּfor the sakeלְמַעַןof your loyal love.חַסְדֶּךָ
