ThusכֹּהsaysאָמַרYHWHיְהוָהto his anointed,לִמְשִׁיחוֹto Cyrus,לְכוֹרֶשׁwhomאֲשֶׁרI have taken hold ofהֶחֱזַקְתִּיby his right hand,בִימִינוֹto subdueלְרַדbefore himלְפָנָיוnations,גּוֹיִםand the loinsוּמָתְנֵיof kingsמְלָכִיםI will loosen,אֲפַתֵּחַto openלִפְתֹּחַbefore himלְפָנָיוdoors,דְּלָתַיִםand gatesוּשְׁעָרִיםwill notלֹאbe shut:יִסָּגֵרוּ
“Iאֲנִיwill goאֵלֵךְbefore youלְפָנֶיךָand make straightאֲיַשֵּׁרthe twisted places;וַהֲדוּרִיםdoorsדַּלְתוֹתof bronzeנְחוּשָׁהI will break,אֲשַׁבֵּרand barsוּבְרִיחֵיof ironבַרְזֶלI will cut through;אֲגַדֵּעַ
and I will giveוְנָתַתִּיyouלְךָthe treasuresאוֹצְרוֹתof darknessחֹשֶׁךְand the hidden richesוּמַטְמֻנֵיof secret places,מִסְתָּרִיםso thatלְמַעַןyou may knowתֵּדַעthatכִּיI amאֲנִיYHWH,יְהוָהwho calls youהַקּוֹרֵאby your name,בְשִׁמְךָthe Elohimאֱלֹהֵיof Israel.יִשְׂרָאֵל
For the sake ofלְמַעַןmy servantעַבְדִּיJacob,יַעֲקֹבand Israelוְיִשְׂרָאֵלmy chosen one,בְּחִירִיI have calledוָאֶקְרָאyouלְךָby your name;בִּשְׁמֶךָI have surnamed you,אֲכַנְּךָthough you have notוְלֹאknown me.יְדַעְתָּנִי
I amאֲנִיYHWH,יְהוָהand there is noוְאֵיןother;עוֹדbesides meזוּלָתִיthere is noאֵיןElohim;אֱלֹהִיםI will gird you,אֲאַזֶּרְךָthough you have notוְלֹאknown me,יְדַעְתָּנִי
so thatלְמַעַןthey may knowיֵדְעוּfrom the risingמִמִּזְרַחof the sunשֶׁמֶשׁand from its westוּמִמַּעֲרָבָהּthatכִּיthere is nothingאֶפֶסbesides me;בִּלְעָדָיI amאֲנִיYHWH,יְהוָהand there is noוְאֵיןother;עוֹד
who formsיוֹצֵרlightאוֹרand createsוּבוֹרֵאdarkness,חֹשֶׁךְwho makesעֹשֶׂהpeaceשָׁלוֹםand createsוּבוֹרֵאevil;רָעI,אֲנִיYHWH,יְהוָהdoעֹשֶׂהallכָלthese things.אֵלֶּה
Drip,הַרְעִיפוּheavens,שָׁמַיִםfrom above,מִמַּעַלand let the cloudsוּשְׁחָקִיםpour downיִזְּלוּrighteousness;צֶדֶקlet the earthאֶרֶץopen,תִּפְתַּחand let them bear the fruitוְיִפְרוּof salvation,יֶשַׁעand let it make righteousnessוּצְדָקָהsproutתַצְמִיחַtogether;יַחַדI,אֲנִיYHWH,יְהוָהhave created it.”בְּרָאתִיו
Woeהוֹיto him who contendsרָבwith his Former,אֶת יֹצְרוֹa potsherdחֶרֶשׂamong the potsherdsאֶת חַרְשֵׂיof the ground!אֲדָמָהWillהֲthe clayחֹמֶרsayיֹאמַרto the one who forms it,לְיֹצְרוֹ‘Whatמַהare you making?’תַּעֲשֶׂהor your work,וּפָעָלְךָ‘He has noאֵיןhands’?יָדַיִם לוֹ
Woeהוֹיto him who saysאֹמֵרto a father,לְאָב‘Whatמַהare you fathering?’תּוֹלִידor to a woman,וּלְאִשָּׁה‘Whatמַהare you giving birth to?’תְּחִילִין
ThusכֹּהsaysאָמַרYHWH,יְהוָהthe Holy Oneקְדוֹשׁof Israelיִשְׂרָאֵלand his Former:וְיֹצְרוֹ“Ask meשְׁאָלוּנִיabout the things that are coming;הָאֹתִיּוֹתconcerning my sonsעַל בָּנַיand concerning the workוְעַל פֹּעַלof my handsיָדַיwill you command me?תְּצַוֻּנִי
Iאָנֹכִיmadeעָשִׂיתִיthe earth,אֶרֶץand human beingsוְאָדָםon itעָלֶיהָI created;בָרָאתִיI,אֲנִיmy handsיָדַיstretched outנָטוּthe heavens,שָׁמַיִםand allוְכָלtheir armyצְבָאָםI commanded.צִוֵּיתִי
Iאָנֹכִיhave stirred him upהַעִירֹתִהוּin righteousness,בְצֶדֶקand allוְכָלhis waysדְּרָכָיוI will make straight;אֲיַשֵּׁרheהוּאwill buildיִבְנֶהmy cityעִירִיand let my exiles go,וְגָלוּתִי יְשַׁלֵּחַnotלֹאfor a priceבִמְחִירnorוְלֹאfor a bribe,”בְשֹׁחַדsaysאָמַרYHWHיְהוָהTsevaot.צְבָאוֹת
ThusכֹּהsaysאָמַרYHWH:יְהוָה“The laborיְגִיעַof Egyptמִצְרַיִםand the gainוּסְחַרof Cushכּוּשׁand the Sabeans,וּסְבָאִיםmenאַנְשֵׁיof stature,מִדָּהwill pass overיַעֲבֹרוּto youעָלַיִךְand will beוְ יִהְיוּyours;לָךְthey will walkיֵלֵכוּbehind you;אַחֲרַיִךְin chainsבַּזִּקִּיםthey will pass over;יַעֲבֹרוּand to youוְאֵלַיִךְthey will bow down,יִשְׁתַּחֲוּוּto youאֵלַיִךְthey will pray:יִתְפַּלָּלוּ‘Onlyאַךְin youבָּךְis El,אֵלand there is noוְאֵיןother;עוֹדthere is noאֶפֶסother Elohim.’”אֱלֹהִים
Surely,אָכֵןyouאַתָּהare an Elאֵלwho hides himself,מִסְתַּתֵּרElohimאֱלֹהֵיof Israel,יִשְׂרָאֵלSavior.מוֹשִׁיעַ
They were put to shame,בּוֹשׁוּand alsoוְגַםhumiliated,נִכְלְמוּall of them;כֻּלָּםtogetherיַחְדָּוthey went offהָלְכוּin humiliation,בַכְּלִמָּהthe craftsmenחָרָשֵׁיof images.צִירִים
Israelיִשְׂרָאֵלis savedנוֹשַׁעin YHWHבַּיהוָהwith an eternalעוֹלָמִיםsalvation;תְּשׁוּעַתyou will notלֹאbe put to shameתֵבֹשׁוּnorוְלֹאhumiliatedתִכָּלְמוּforever and ever.עַד עוֹלְמֵי עַד
ForכִּיthusכֹהsaysאָמַרYHWH,יְהוָהwho createsבּוֹרֵאthe heavensהַשָּׁמַיִם—heהוּאis the Elohim—,הָאֱלֹהִיםwho formedיֹצֵרthe earthהָאָרֶץand made itוְעֹשָׂהּ—heהוּאestablished it;כוֹנְנָהּnotלֹאas formlessתֹהוּdid he create it;בְרָאָהּto be inhabitedלָשֶׁבֶתhe formed it—:יְצָרָהּ“Iאֲנִיam YHWH,יְהוָהand there is noוְאֵיןother.עוֹד
I have notלֹאspokenדִּבַּרְתִּיin secret,בַסֵּתֶרin a placeבִּמְקוֹםof a landאֶרֶץof darkness;חֹשֶׁךְI did notלֹאsayאָמַרְתִּיto the offspringלְזֶרַעof Jacob,יַעֲקֹב‘Seek meבַקְּשׁוּנִיin emptiness.’תֹּהוּI,אֲנִיYHWH,יְהוָהspeakדֹּבֵרrighteousness,צֶדֶקI declareמַגִּידuprightness.מֵישָׁרִים
Gather yourselvesהִקָּבְצוּand come;וָבֹאוּdraw nearהִתְנַגְּשׁוּtogether,יַחְדָּוyou who escapedפְּלִיטֵיfrom the nations.הַגּוֹיִםThey do notלֹאknow,יָדְעוּthose who carryהַנֹּשְׂאִיםthe woodאֶת עֵץof their carved imageפִּסְלָםand prayוּמִתְפַּלְלִיםtoאֶלa godאֵלthat cannotלֹאsave.יוֹשִׁיעַ
Declare,הַגִּידוּand bring it forward;וְהַגִּישׁוּindeed,אַףlet them take counselיִוָּעֲצוּtogether.יַחְדָּוWhoמִיhas made this heardהִשְׁמִיעַ זֹאתfrom of old,מִקֶּדֶםwho declared itהִגִּידָהּlong ago?מֵאָזWas it notהֲלוֹאI,אֲנִיYHWH?יְהוָהAnd there is noוְאֵיןotherעוֹדElohimאֱלֹהִיםbesides me,מִבַּלְעָדַיa righteousצַדִּיקElאֵלand Savior;וּמוֹשִׁיעַthere is noneאַיִןbesides me.זוּלָתִי
Turnפְּנוּto meאֵלַיand be saved,וְהִוָּשְׁעוּallכָּלthe endsאַפְסֵיof the earth,אָרֶץforכִּיIאֲנִיam El,אֵלand there is noוְאֵיןother.עוֹד
By myselfבִּיI have sworn;נִשְׁבַּעְתִּיrighteousnessצְדָקָהhas gone outיָצָאfrom my mouth,מִפִּיa word,דָּבָרand it will notוְלֹאreturn:יָשׁוּבthatכִּיto meלִיeveryכָּלkneeבֶּרֶךְwill bend,תִּכְרַעeveryכָּלtongueלָשׁוֹןwill swear.תִּשָּׁבַע
‘Onlyאַךְin YHWH,’בַּיהוָהone will sayאָמַרof me,לִי‘are acts of righteousnessצְדָקוֹתand strength.’וָעֹזTo himעָדָיוhe will come,יָבוֹאand they will be put to shame,וְיֵבֹשׁוּallכֹּלwho were incensedהַנֶּחֱרִיםagainst him.בּוֹ
In YHWHבַּיהוָהallכָּלthe offspringזֶרַעof Israelיִשְׂרָאֵלwill be declared righteousיִצְדְּקוּand will glory.”וְיִתְהַלְלוּ
