“TakeקַחAaronאַהֲרֹןand his sonsוְ בָּנָיוwith him,אִתּוֹand the garments,וְ הַבְּגָדִיםand the oilוְ שֶׁמֶןof anointing,הַמִּשְׁחָהand the bullוְ פַּרof the sin offering,הַחַטָּאתand the twoוְ שְׁנֵיrams,הָאֵילִיםand the basketוְ סַלof unleavened bread,הַמַּצּוֹת
and assembleהַקְהֵלallוְ כָּלthe communityהָעֵדָהatאֶלthe entranceפֶּתַחof the tentאֹהֶלof meeting.”מוֹעֵד
MosesמֹשֶׁהdidוַיַּעַשׂasכַּאֲשֶׁרYHWHיְהוָהhad commandedצִוָּהhim,אֹתוֹand the communityוַ הָעֵדָהassembledתִּקָּהֵלatאֶלthe entranceפֶּתַחof the tentאֹהֶלof meeting.מוֹעֵד
Mosesמֹשֶׁהsaidוַיֹּאמֶרto the community,אֶל הָעֵדָה“This isזֶהthe thingהַדָּבָרthatאֲשֶׁרYHWHיְהוָהhas commandedצִוָּהto be done.”לַעֲשׂוֹת
Mosesמֹשֶׁהbrought nearוַיַּקְרֵבAaronאַהֲרֹןand his sonsוְ בָּנָיוand washedוַיִּרְחַץthemאֹתָםwith water.בַּמָּיִם
He putוַיִּתֵּןon himעָלָיוthe tunic,הַכֻּתֹּנֶתgirdedוַיַּחְגֹּרhimאֹתוֹwith the sash,בָּאַבְנֵטclothedוַיַּלְבֵּשׁhimאֹתוֹwith the robe,הַמְּעִילputוַיִּתֵּןon himעָלָיוthe ephod,הָאֵפֹדand girdedוַיַּחְגֹּרhimאֹתוֹwith the bandבְּחֵשֶׁבof the ephod,הָאֵפֹדand bound itוַיֶּאְפֹּדto himלוֹwith it.בּוֹ
He putוַיָּשֶׂםon himעָלָיוthe breastpiece,הַחֹשֶׁןand he putוַיִּתֵּןinאֶלthe breastpieceהַחֹשֶׁןthe Urimהָאוּרִיםand the Thummim.וְ הַתֻּמִּים
He putוַיָּשֶׂםthe turbanהַמִּצְנֶפֶתonעַלhis head,רֹאשׁוֹand onעַלthe turban,הַמִּצְנֶפֶתon its front,אֶל מוּל פָּנָיוhe putוַיָּשֶׂםthe goldהַזָּהָבplate,צִיץthe holyהַקֹּדֶשׁdiadem,נֵזֶרasכַּאֲשֶׁרYHWHיְהוָהhad commandedצִוָּהMoses.אֶת מֹשֶׁה
Mosesמֹשֶׁהtookוַיִּקַּחthe oilשֶׁמֶןof anointingהַמִּשְׁחָהand anointedוַיִּמְשַׁחthe dwellingהַמִּשְׁכָּןand allוְ כָּלthat wasאֲשֶׁרin it,בּוֹand consecratedוַיְקַדֵּשׁthem.אֹתָם
He sprinkledוַיַּזsome of itמִמֶּנּוּonעַלthe altarהַמִּזְבֵּחַsevenשֶׁבַעtimes,פְּעָמִיםand anointedוַיִּמְשַׁחthe altarהַמִּזְבֵּחַand allוְ כָּלits utensils,כֵּלָיוand the basinוְ הַכִּיֹּרand its stand,וְ כַּנּוֹto consecrate them.לְקַדְּשָׁם
He pouredוַיִּצֹקsome of the oilמִשֶּׁמֶןof anointingהַמִּשְׁחָהonעַלthe headרֹאשׁof Aaronאַהֲרֹןand anointedוַיִּמְשַׁחhimאֹתוֹto consecrate him.לְקַדְּשׁוֹ
Mosesמֹשֶׁהbrought nearוַיַּקְרֵבthe sonsבְּנֵיof Aaron,אַהֲרֹןclothed themוַיַּלְבִּשֵׁםwith tunics,כֻּתֳּנֹתgirdedוַיַּחְגֹּרthemאֹתָםwith sashes,אַבְנֵטand boundוַיַּחֲבֹשׁcapsמִגְבָּעוֹתon them,לָהֶםasכַּאֲשֶׁרYHWHיְהוָהhad commandedצִוָּהMoses.אֶת מֹשֶׁה
He brought nearוַיַּגֵּשׁthe bullפַּרof the sin offering,הַחַטָּאתand Aaronוַ אַהֲרֹןand his sonsוּבָנָיוlaidיִּסְמֹךְtheir handsיְדֵיהֶםonעַלthe headרֹאשׁof the bullפַּרof the sin offering.הַחַטָּאת
He slaughtered it,וַיִּשְׁחָטand Mosesוַ מֹשֶׁהtookיִּקַּחthe bloodהַדָּםand put itוַיִּתֵּןonעַלthe hornsקַרְנוֹתof the altarהַמִּזְבֵּחַall aroundסָבִיבwith his finger,בְּאֶצְבָּעוֹand purifiedוַיְחַטֵּאthe altar;הַמִּזְבֵּחַand the rest of the bloodוְ הַדָּםhe poured outיָצַקatאֶלthe baseיְסוֹדof the altar,הַמִּזְבֵּחַand consecrated itוַיְקַדְּשֵׁהוּto make expiationלְכַפֵּרfor it.עָלָיו
He tookוַיִּקַּחallכָּלthe fatהַחֵלֶבthat wasאֲשֶׁרonעַלthe entrails,הַקֶּרֶבand the lobeוְ יֹתֶרֶתof the liver,הַכָּבֵדand the twoוְ שְׁתֵּיkidneysהַכְּלָיֹתand their fat,וְ חֶלְבְּהֶןand Mosesוַ מֹשֶׁהoffered it up in smokeיַּקְטֵרon the altar.הַמִּזְבֵּחָה
But the bull,וְ הַפָּרits skin,וְ עֹרוֹits flesh,וְ בְּשָׂרוֹand its dung,וְ פִּרְשׁוֹhe burnedשָׂרַףwith fireבָּאֵשׁoutsideמִחוּץthe camp,לַמַּחֲנֶהasכַּאֲשֶׁרYHWHיְהוָהhad commandedצִוָּהMoses.אֶת מֹשֶׁה
He presentedוַיַּקְרֵבthe ramאֵילof the burnt offering,הָעֹלָהand Aaronוַ אַהֲרֹןand his sonsוּבָנָיוlaidיִּסְמְכוּtheir handsיְדֵיהֶםonעַלthe headרֹאשׁof the ram.הָאָיִל
He slaughtered it,וַיִּשְׁחָטand Mosesוַ מֹשֶׁהsplashedיִּזְרֹקthe bloodהַדָּםagainstעַלthe altarהַמִּזְבֵּחַall around.סָבִיב
The ramוְ הָאַיִלhe cutנִתַּחinto its pieces,לִנְתָחָיוand Mosesוַ מֹשֶׁהoffered up in smokeיַּקְטֵרthe head,הָרֹאשׁthe pieces,וְ הַנְּתָחִיםand the suet.וְ הַפָּדֶר
The entrailsוְ הַקֶּרֶבand the legsוְ הַכְּרָעַיִםhe washedרָחַץin water,בַּמָּיִםand Mosesוַ מֹשֶׁהoffered up in smokeיַּקְטֵרthe wholeכָּלramהָאַיִלon the altar;הַמִּזְבֵּחָהit wasהוּאa burnt offeringעֹלָהfor a pleasingלְ נִיחֹחַaroma,רֵיחַit wasהוּאa fire offeringאִשֶּׁהto YHWH,לַיהוָהasכַּאֲשֶׁרYHWHיְהוָהhad commandedצִוָּהMoses.אֶת מֹשֶׁה
He presentedוַיַּקְרֵבthe secondהַשֵּׁנִיram,הָאַיִלthe ramאֵילof ordination,הַמִּלֻּאִיםand Aaronוַ אַהֲרֹןand his sonsוּבָנָיוlaidיִּסְמְכוּtheir handsיְדֵיהֶםonעַלthe headרֹאשׁof the ram.הָאָיִל
He slaughtered it,וַיִּשְׁחָטand Mosesוַ מֹשֶׁהtookיִּקַּחsome of its bloodמִדָּמוֹand put itוַיִּתֵּןonעַלthe lobeתְּנוּךְof Aaron’sאַהֲרֹןrightהַיְמָנִיתear,אֹזֶןand onוְעַלthe thumbבֹּהֶןof his rightהַיְמָנִיתhand,יָדוֹand onוְעַלthe big toeבֹּהֶןof his rightהַיְמָנִיתfoot.רַגְלוֹ
He brought nearוַיַּקְרֵבthe sonsבְּנֵיof Aaron,אַהֲרֹןand Mosesוַ מֹשֶׁהputיִּתֵּןsome ofמִןthe bloodהַדָּםonעַלthe lobeתְּנוּךְof their rightם הַיְמָנִיתear,אָזְנָand onוְעַלthe thumbבֹּהֶןof their rightם הַיְמָנִיתhand,יָדָand onוְעַלthe big toeבֹּהֶןof their rightם הַיְמָנִיתfoot;רַגְלָand Mosesוַ מֹשֶׁהsplashedיִּזְרֹקthe bloodהַדָּםagainstעַלthe altarהַמִּזְבֵּחַall around.סָבִיב
He tookוַיִּקַּחthe fat,הַחֵלֶבthe fat tail,וְ הָאַלְיָהallוְ כָּלthe fatהַחֵלֶבthat wasאֲשֶׁרonעַלthe entrails,הַקֶּרֶבthe lobeוְ יֹתֶרֶתof the liver,הַכָּבֵדthe twoוְ שְׁתֵּיkidneysהַכְּלָיֹתand their fat,וְ חֶלְבְּהֶןand the rightוְ הַיָּמִיןthigh.שׁוֹק
And from the basketוּמִסַּלof unleavened breadהַמַּצּוֹתthat wasאֲשֶׁרbeforeלִפְנֵיYHWHיְהוָהhe tookלָקַחoneאַחַתunleavenedמַצָּהcake,חַלַּתand oneוְ אַחַתcakeחַלַּתof bread with oil,לֶחֶם שֶׁמֶןand oneאֶחָדwafer,וְרָקִיקand put themוַיָּשֶׂםonעַלthe fatהַחֲלָבִיםand onוְעַלthe rightהַיָּמִיןthigh.שׁוֹק
He putוַיִּתֵּןit allהַכֹּלonעַלthe palmsכַּפֵּיof Aaronאַהֲרֹןand onוְעַלthe palmsכַּפֵּיof his sons,בָנָיוand wavedוַיָּנֶףthemאֹתָםas a wave offeringתְּנוּפָהbeforeלִפְנֵיYHWH.יְהוָה
Mosesמֹשֶׁהtookוַיִּקַּחthemאֹתָםfromמֵעַלtheir palmsכַּפֵּיהֶםand offered them up in smokeוַיַּקְטֵרon the altarהַמִּזְבֵּחָהon top ofעַלthe burnt offering;הָעֹלָהthey wereהֵםan ordination offeringמִלֻּאִיםfor a pleasingלְ נִיחֹחַaroma;רֵיחַit wasהוּאa fire offeringאִשֶּׁהto YHWH.לַיהוָה
Mosesמֹשֶׁהtookוַיִּקַּחthe breastהֶחָזֶהand waved itוַיְנִיפֵהוּas a wave offeringתְנוּפָהbeforeלִפְנֵיYHWH;יְהוָהfrom the ramמֵאֵילof ordinationהַמִּלֻּאִיםit wasהָיָהMoses’ portion,לְמֹשֶׁה לְמָנָהasכַּאֲשֶׁרYHWHיְהוָהhad commandedצִוָּהMoses.אֶת מֹשֶׁה
Mosesמֹשֶׁהtookוַיִּקַּחsome of the oilמִשֶּׁמֶןof anointingהַמִּשְׁחָהand some ofוּמִןthe bloodהַדָּםthat wasאֲשֶׁרonעַלthe altarהַמִּזְבֵּחַand sprinkled itוַיַּזonעַלAaron,אַהֲרֹןonעַלhis garments,בְּגָדָיוand onוְעַלhis sonsבָּנָיוand onוְעַלhis sons’בָנָיוgarmentsבִּגְדֵיwith him;אִתּוֹso he consecratedוַיְקַדֵּשׁAaron,אַהֲרֹןhis garments,בְּגָדָיוand his sonsוְ בָּנָיוand his sons’בָנָיוgarmentsוְ בִּגְדֵיwith him.אִתּוֹ
Mosesמֹשֶׁהsaidוַיֹּאמֶרto Aaronאֶל אַהֲרֹןand to his sons,וְאֶל בָּנָיו“Boilבַּשְּׁלוּthe fleshהַבָּשָׂרat the entranceפֶּתַחof the tentאֹהֶלof meeting,מוֹעֵדand thereוְשָׁםeatתֹּאכְלוּitאֹתוֹwith the breadוְ הַלֶּחֶםthat isאֲשֶׁרin the basketבְּסַלof ordination,הַמִּלֻּאִיםasכַּאֲשֶׁרI commanded,צִוֵּיתִיsaying,לֵאמֹר‘Aaronאַהֲרֹןand his sonsוּבָנָיוshall eat it.’יֹאכְלֻהוּ

You shall notלֹאgo outתֵצְאוּfrom the entranceוּמִפֶּתַחof the tentאֹהֶלof meetingמוֹעֵדfor sevenשִׁבְעַתdays,יָמִיםuntilעַדthe dayיוֹםthe daysיְמֵיof your ordinationמִלֻּאֵיכֶםare completed,מְלֹאתforכִּיfor sevenשִׁבְעַתdaysיָמִיםyou will be ordained.יְמַלֵּא יֶדְכֶם
Whatכַּאֲשֶׁרhas been doneעָשָׂהthis day,בַּיּוֹם הַזֶּהYHWHיְהוָהhas commandedצִוָּהto be doneלַעֲשֹׂתto make expiationלְכַפֵּרfor you.עֲלֵיכֶם
At the entranceוּפֶתַחof the tentאֹהֶלof meetingמוֹעֵדyou shall remainתֵּשְׁבוּdayיוֹמָםand nightוָלַיְלָהfor sevenשִׁבְעַתdays,יָמִיםand keepוּשְׁמַרְתֶּםthe chargeמִשְׁמֶרֶתof YHWH,יְהוָהso that you do notוְלֹאdie;תָמוּתוּforכִּיsoכֵןI have been commanded.”צֻוֵּיתִי
