The wildernessמִדְבָּרand the dry landוְצִיָּהwill be glad,יְשֻׂשׂוּםand the Arabahעֲרָבָהwill rejoiceוְתָגֵלand blossomוְתִפְרַחlike the narcissus.כַּחֲבַצָּלֶת
It will surelyפָּרֹחַblossomתִּפְרַחand rejoice,וְתָגֵלyes,אַףwith rejoicingגִּילַתand shouting for joy;וְרַנֵּןthe gloryכְּבוֹדof Lebanonהַלְּבָנוֹןwill be givenנִתַּןto it,לָהּthe majestyהֲדַרof Carmelהַכַּרְמֶלand Sharon;וְהַשָּׁרוֹןtheyהֵמָּהwill seeיִרְאוּthe gloryכְבוֹדof YHWH,יְהוָהthe majestyהֲדַרof our Elohim.אֱלֹהֵינוּ
Strengthenחַזְּקוּthe droopingרָפוֹתhands,יָדַיִםand the stumblingכֹּשְׁלוֹתkneesוּבִרְכַּיִםmake firm.אַמֵּצוּ
Sayאִמְרוּto those who are hastyלְנִמְהֲרֵיof heart,לֵב“Be strong,חִזְקוּdo notאַלfear!תִּירָאוּLook,הִנֵּהyour Elohim;אֱלֹהֵיכֶםvengeanceנָקָםwill come,יָבוֹאthe recompenseגְּמוּלof Elohim;אֱלֹהִיםheהוּאwill comeיָבוֹאand save you.”וְיֹשַׁעֲכֶם
Thenאָזthe eyesעֵינֵיof the blindעִוְרִיםwill be opened,תִּפָּקַחְנָהand the earsוְאָזְנֵיof the deafחֵרְשִׁיםwill be unstopped.תִּפָּתַחְנָה
Thenאָזthe lameפִּסֵּחַwill leapיְדַלֵּגlike a deer,כָּאַיָּלand the tongueוְ לְשׁוֹןof the muteאִלֵּםwill shout for joy;תָרֹןforכִּיwatersמַיִםwill break outנִבְקְעוּin the wilderness,בַמִּדְבָּרand torrentsוּנְחָלִיםin the Arabah.בָּעֲרָבָה
And the burning sandוְ הַשָּׁרָבwill becomeהָיָהa pool,לַאֲגַםand the thirsty groundוְצִמָּאוֹןspringsלְמַבּוּעֵיof water;מָיִםin the abodeבִּנְוֵהof jackals,תַנִּיםits lair,רִבְצָהּgrassחָצִירwill become reedלְקָנֶהand papyrus.וָגֹמֶא
And there will beוְהָיָהthereשָׁםa highwayמַסְלוּלand a way,וָדֶרֶךְand the Wayוְדֶרֶךְof Holinessהַקֹּדֶשׁit will be called;יִקָּרֵא לָהּthe uncleanטָמֵאwill notלֹאpass over it,יַעַבְרֶנּוּand it will beוְהוּאfor them;לָמוֹthe one who walksהֹלֵךְthe way,דֶּרֶךְeven fools,וֶאֱוִילִיםwill notלֹאgo astray.יִתְעוּ
Noלֹאlionאַרְיֵהwill beיִהְיֶהthere,שָׁםand a violentפְרִיץbeastוּ חַיּוֹתwill notבַּלgo up on it;יַעֲלֶנָּהit will notלֹאbe foundתִמָּצֵאthere;שָׁםand the redeemedגְּאוּלִיםwill walk there.וְהָלְכוּ
And the ransomedוּפְדוּיֵיof YHWHיְהוָהwill returnיְשֻׁבוּןand comeוּבָאוּto Zionצִיּוֹןwith shouting for joy,בְּרִנָּהand eternalעוֹלָםgladnessוְשִׂמְחַתwill be on their heads;עַל רֹאשָׁםjoyשָׂשׂוֹןand gladnessוְשִׂמְחָהthey will obtain,יַשִּׂיגוּand sorrowיָגוֹןand sighingוַאֲנָחָהwill flee.וְנָסוּ
