YHWHיְהוָהspokeוַיְדַבֵּרto Moses,אֶל מֹשֶׁהsaying,לֵּאמֹר
“Speakדַּבֵּרtoאֶלthe sonsבְּנֵיof Israelיִשְׂרָאֵלand sayוְאָמַרְתָּto them,אֲלֵהֶם‘Whenכִּיyou comeתָבֹאוּintoאֶלthe landאֶרֶץof your dwellings,מוֹשְׁבֹתֵיכֶםwhichאֲשֶׁרIאֲנִיam givingנֹתֵןyou,לָכֶם
and you offerוַעֲשִׂיתֶםa fire offeringאִשֶּׁהto YHWH,לַיהוָהa burnt offeringעֹלָהorאוֹa sacrifice,זֶבַחto fulfillלְפַלֵּאa vowנֶדֶרorאוֹas a freewill offeringבִנְדָבָהorאוֹat your appointed times,בְּמֹעֲדֵיכֶםto makeלַעֲשׂוֹתa pleasingנִיחֹחַaromaרֵיחַto YHWHלַיהוָהfromמִןthe herdהַבָּקָרorאוֹfromמִןthe flock,הַצֹּאן
the one who presentsהַמַּקְרִיבhis offeringקָרְבָּנוֹto YHWHלַיהוָהshall presentוְהִקְרִיבa grain offeringמִנְחָהof a tenth of an ephahעִשָּׂרוֹןof fine flourסֹלֶתmixedבָּלוּלwith a quarterבִּרְבִעִיתof a hinהַהִיןof oil;שָׁמֶן
and wineוְיַיִןfor the libation,לַנֶּסֶךְa quarterרְבִיעִיתof a hin,הַהִיןyou shall offerתַּעֲשֶׂהwithעַלthe burnt offeringהָעֹלָהorאוֹfor the sacrifice,לַזָּבַחfor eachאֶחָדlamb.לַכֶּבֶשׂ הָ
Orאוֹfor a ramלָאַיִלyou shall offerתַּעֲשֶׂהa grain offeringמִנְחָהof twoשְׁנֵיtenths of an ephahעֶשְׂרֹנִיםof fine flourסֹלֶתmixedבְּלוּלָהwith a thirdשְׁלִשִׁיתof a hinהַהִיןof oil;בַשֶּׁמֶן
and wineוְיַיִןfor the libation,לַנֶּסֶךְa thirdשְׁלִשִׁיתof a hin,הַהִיןyou shall present,תַּקְרִיבa pleasingנִיחֹחַaromaרֵיחַto YHWH.לַיהוָה
Andוְwhenכִיyou offerתַעֲשֶׂהa youngבֶןbullבָּקָרas a burnt offeringעֹלָהorאוֹa sacrifice,זָבַחto fulfillלְפַלֵּאa vow,נֶדֶרorאוֹas peace offeringsשְׁלָמִיםto YHWH,לַיהוָה
one shall presentוְהִקְרִיבwithעַלthe youngבֶּןbullהַבָּקָרa grain offeringמִנְחָהof threeשְׁלֹשָׁהtenths of an ephahעֶשְׂרֹנִיםof fine flourסֹלֶתmixedבָּלוּלwith halfחֲצִיa hinהַהִיןof oil;בַּשֶּׁמֶן
and wineוְיַיִןyou shall presentתַּקְרִיבfor the libation,לַנֶּסֶךְhalfחֲצִיa hin,הַהִיןa fire offeringאִשֵּׁהof pleasingנִיחֹחַaromaרֵיחַto YHWH.לַיהוָה
Thusכָּכָהit shall be doneיֵעָשֶׂהfor eachלַ אֶחָדbull,שּׁוֹר הָorאוֹfor eachלָ אֶחָדram,אַיִל הָorאוֹfor a lamb,לַשֶּׂהwhether of the sheepבַכְּבָשִׂיםorאוֹof the goats.בָעִזִּים
According to the numberכַּמִּסְפָּרthatאֲשֶׁרyou offer,תַּעֲשׂוּsoכָּכָהyou shall doתַּעֲשׂוּfor each oneלָאֶחָדaccording to their number.כְּמִסְפָּרָם
Everyכָּלnative-bornהָאֶזְרָחshall doיַעֲשֶׂהthese thingsאֶת אֵלֶּהin this wayכָּכָהin presentingלְהַקְרִיבa fire offeringאִשֵּׁהof pleasingנִיחֹחַaromaרֵיחַto YHWH.לַיהוָה
Andוְifכִיa resident alienגֵּרlivesיָגוּרwith you,אִתְּכֶםorאוֹwhoeverאֲשֶׁרis among youבְּתוֹכְכֶםthroughout your generations,לְדֹרֹתֵיכֶםand he offersוְעָשָׂהa fire offeringאִשֵּׁהof pleasingנִיחֹחַaromaרֵיחַto YHWH,לַיהוָהjust asכַּאֲשֶׁרyou do,תַּעֲשׂוּsoכֵּןhe shall do.יַעֲשֶׂה
As for the assembly,הַקָּהָלthere shall be oneאַחַתstatuteחֻקָּהfor youלָכֶםandוְfor the resident alienלַגֵּרwho resides among you,הַגָּרa statuteחֻקַּתforeverעוֹלָםthroughout your generations:לְדֹרֹתֵיכֶםas you are,כָּכֶםso shallכַּthe resident alienגֵּרbeיִהְיֶהbeforeלִפְנֵיYHWH.יְהוָה
Oneאַחַתinstructionתּוֹרָהandוּoneאֶחָדruleמִשְׁפָּטshall beיִהְיֶהfor youלָכֶםandוְfor the resident alienלַגֵּרwho residesהַגָּרwith you.’”אִתְּכֶם
YHWHיְהוָהspokeוַיְדַבֵּרto Moses,אֶל מֹשֶׁהsaying,לֵּאמֹר
“Speakדַּבֵּרtoאֶלthe sonsבְּנֵיof Israelיִשְׂרָאֵלand sayוְאָמַרְתָּto them,אֲלֵהֶם‘When you comeבְּבֹאֲכֶםintoאֶלthe landהָאָרֶץwhereאֲשֶׁר שָׁמָּהIאֲנִיam bringingמֵבִיאyou,אֶתְכֶם
thenוְהָיָהwhen you eatבַּאֲכָלְכֶםof the breadמִלֶּחֶםof the land,הָאָרֶץyou shall set apartתָּרִימוּa contributionתְרוּמָהfor YHWH.לַיהוָה
Of the firstרֵאשִׁיתof your doughעֲרִסֹתֵכֶםyou shall set apartתָּרִימוּa loafחַלָּהas a contribution;תְרוּמָהlike the contributionכִּתְרוּמַתof the threshing floor,גֹּרֶןsoכֵּןyou shall set it apart.תָּרִימוּ אֹתָהּ
Of the firstמֵרֵאשִׁיתof your doughעֲרִסֹתֵיכֶםyou shall giveתִּתְּנוּto YHWHלַיהוָהa contributionתְּרוּמָהthroughout your generations.לְדֹרֹתֵיכֶם
Andוְwhenכִיyou errתִשְׁגּוּand do notוְלֹאdoתַעֲשׂוּallאֵת כָּלtheseהָאֵלֶּהcommandmentsהַמִּצְוֺתthatאֲשֶׁרYHWHיְהוָהspokeדִּבֶּרtoאֶלMoses,מֹשֶׁה
allאֵת כָּלthatאֲשֶׁרYHWHיְהוָהhas commandedצִוָּהyouאֲלֵיכֶםby the handבְּיַדof Moses,מֹשֶׁהfromמִןthe dayהַיּוֹםthatאֲשֶׁרYHWHיְהוָהcommandedצִוָּהandוָonwardהָלְאָהthroughout your generations,לְדֹרֹתֵיכֶם
thenוְהָיָהifאִםit was doneנֶעֶשְׂתָהby oversight,לִשְׁגָגָהwithout the knowledgeמֵעֵינֵיof the community,הָעֵדָהallכָלthe communityהָעֵדָהshall offerוְעָשׂוּoneאֶחָדyoungבֶּןbullפַּר בָּקָרfor a burnt offering,לְעֹלָהfor a pleasingלְ נִיחֹחַaromaרֵיחַto YHWH,לַיהוָהwith its grain offeringוּמִנְחָתוֹandוְits libationנִסְכּוֹaccording to the rule,כַּמִּשְׁפָּטandוּoneאֶחָדmale goatשְׂעִיר עִזִּיםfor a sin offering.לְחַטָּת
And the priestוְ הַכֹּהֵןshall make expiationכִפֶּרforעַלallכָּלthe communityעֲדַתof the sonsבְּנֵיof Israel,יִשְׂרָאֵלand they shall be forgiven,וְנִסְלַח לָהֶםforכִּיitהִואwas an oversight,שְׁגָגָהand theyוְהֵםhave broughtהֵבִיאוּtheir offering,אֶת קָרְבָּנָםa fire offeringאִשֶּׁהto YHWH,לַיהוָהandוְtheir sin offeringחַטָּאתָםbeforeלִפְנֵיYHWH,יְהוָהforעַלtheir oversight.שִׁגְגָתָם
And allוְ כָלthe communityעֲדַתof the sonsבְּנֵיof Israelיִשְׂרָאֵלshall be forgiven,נִסְלַח לְandוְthe resident alienלַגֵּרwho residesהַגָּרamong them,בְּתוֹכָםforכִּיallלְכָלthe peopleהָעָםacted by oversight.בִּשְׁגָגָה
Andוְifאִםoneאַחַתpersonנֶפֶשׁsinsתֶּחֱטָאby oversight,בִשְׁגָגָהhe shall presentוְהִקְרִיבָהa female goatעֵזa yearשְׁנָתָהּoldבַּתfor a sin offering.לְחַטָּאת
And the priestוְ הַכֹּהֵןshall make expiationכִפֶּרforעַלthe personהַנֶּפֶשׁwho errs,הַשֹּׁגֶגֶתwhen he sinsבְּחֶטְאָהby oversight,בִשְׁגָגָהbeforeלִפְנֵיYHWH,יְהוָהto make expiationלְכַפֵּרfor him,עָלָיוand he shall be forgiven.וְנִסְלַח לוֹ
For the native-bornהָאֶזְרָחamong the sonsבִּבְנֵיof Israelיִשְׂרָאֵלandוְfor the resident alienלַגֵּרwho residesהַגָּרamong themבְּתוֹכָםthere shall beיִהְיֶהoneאַחַתinstructionתּוֹרָהfor youלָכֶםfor the one who actsלָעֹשֶׂהby oversight.בִּשְׁגָגָה
But the personוְהַנֶּפֶשׁwhoאֲשֶׁרactsתַּעֲשֶׂהwith a raisedרָמָהhand,בְּיָדwhetherמִןnative-bornהָאֶזְרָחorוּמִןresident alien,הַגֵּרheהוּאrevilesמְגַדֵּףYHWH,אֶת יְהוָהand thatהַהִואpersonהַנֶּפֶשׁshall be cut offוְנִכְרְתָהfrom amongמִקֶּרֶבtheir people.עַמָּהּ
Becauseכִּיhe has despisedבָּזָהthe wordדְבַרof YHWHיְהוָהandוְbrokenהֵפַרhis commandment,אֶת מִצְוָתוֹthatהַהִואpersonהַנֶּפֶשׁshall certainly be cut off;הִכָּרֵת תִּכָּרֵתtheir iniquityעֲוֺנָהis on them.בָהּ
While the sonsוַ בְנֵיof Israelיִשְׂרָאֵלwereיִּהְיוּin the wilderness,בַּמִּדְבָּרthey foundוַיִּמְצְאוּa manאִישׁgatheringמְקֹשֵׁשׁwoodעֵצִיםon the dayבְּיוֹםof the Sabbath.הַשַּׁבָּת
And those who foundוַ הַמֹּצְאִיםhimאֹתוֹgatheringמְקֹשֵׁשׁwoodעֵצִיםbroughtיַּקְרִיבוּhimאֹתוֹtoאֶלMosesמֹשֶׁהandוְtoאֶלAaronאַהֲרֹןandוְtoאֶלallכָּלthe community.הָעֵדָה
And they putוַיַּנִּיחוּhimאֹתוֹin custody,בַּמִּשְׁמָרbecauseכִּיit had notלֹאbeen made clearפֹרַשׁwhatמַהshould be doneיֵּעָשֶׂהto him.לוֹ
And YHWHוַ יְהוָהsaidיֹּאמֶרtoאֶלMoses,מֹשֶׁה“The manהָאִישׁshall surelyמוֹתbe put to death;יוּמַתallכָּלthe communityהָעֵדָהshall stoneרָגוֹםhimאֹתוֹwith stonesבָאֲבָנִיםoutsideמִחוּץthe camp.”לַמַּחֲנֶה
So allוַ כָּלthe communityהָעֵדָהbroughtיֹּצִיאוּhimאֹתוֹoutsideאֶל מִחוּץthe campלַמַּחֲנֶהand stonedוַיִּרְגְּמוּhimאֹתוֹwith stones,בָּאֲבָנִיםand he died,וַיָּמֹתasכַּאֲשֶׁרYHWHיְהוָהhad commandedצִוָּהMoses.אֶת מֹשֶׁה
YHWHיְהוָהsaidוַיֹּאמֶרto Moses,אֶל מֹשֶׁהsaying,לֵּאמֹר
“Speakדַּבֵּרtoאֶלthe sonsבְּנֵיof Israelיִשְׂרָאֵלand tellוְאָמַרְתָּthemאֲלֵהֶםto makeוְעָשׂוּfor themselvesלָהֶםfringesצִיצִתonעַלthe edgesכַּנְפֵיof their garmentsבִגְדֵיהֶםthroughout their generations,לְדֹרֹתָםand to putוְנָתְנוּonעַלthe fringeצִיצִתof the edgeהַכָּנָףa cordפְּתִילof blue.תְּכֵלֶת
And it shall beוְהָיָהa fringeלְצִיצִתfor you,לָכֶםand you shall seeוּרְאִיתֶםitאֹתוֹand rememberוּזְכַרְתֶּםallאֶת כָּלthe commandmentsמִצְוֺתof YHWHיְהוָהand doוַעֲשִׂיתֶםthem,אֹתָםandוְyou shall notלֹאgo exploringתָתֻרוּafterאַחֲרֵיyour heartלְבַבְכֶםandוְafterאַחֲרֵיyour eyes,עֵינֵיכֶםafterאַחֲרֵיwhichאֲשֶׁרyouאַתֶּםprostitute yourselves,זֹנִים הֶם
so thatלְמַעַןyou will rememberתִּזְכְּרוּand doוַעֲשִׂיתֶםallאֶת כָּלmy commandmentsמִצְוֺתָיand beוִהְיִיתֶםholyקְדֹשִׁיםto your Elohim.לֵאלֹהֵיכֶם
I amאֲנִיYHWHיְהוָהyour Elohim,אֱלֹהֵיכֶםwhoאֲשֶׁרbroughtהוֹצֵאתִיyouאֶתְכֶםout of the landמֵאֶרֶץof Egyptמִצְרַיִםto beלִהְיוֹתyourלָכֶםElohim.לֵאלֹהִיםI amאֲנִיYHWHיְהוָהyour Elohim.”אֱלֹהֵיכֶם
