And the wordוַ דְבַרof YHWHיְהוָהcameיְהִיto me,אֵלַיsaying,לֵאמֹר
“Sonבֶּןof man,אָדָםsetשִׂיםyour faceפָּנֶיךָtoward Gog,אֶל גּוֹגof the landאֶרֶץof Magog,הַמָּגוֹגprincipal chiefנְשִׂיא רֹאשׁof Meshechמֶשֶׁךְand Tubal,וְתֻבָלand prophesyוְהִנָּבֵאagainst him,עָלָיו
and say,וְאָמַרְתָּ‘ThusכֹּהsaysאָמַרAdonaiאֲדֹנָיYHWH:יְהוִהLook, I amהִנְנִיagainst you,אֵלֶיךָGog,גּוֹגprincipal chiefנְשִׂיא רֹאשׁof Meshechמֶשֶׁךְand Tubal.וְתֻבָל
And I will turn you aroundוְשׁוֹבַבְתִּיךָand putוְנָתַתִּיhooksחַחִיםin your jaws,בִּלְחָיֶיךָand I will bring outוְהוֹצֵאתִיyouאוֹתְךָand allוְ כָּלyour army,חֵילֶךָhorsesסוּסִיםand horsemen,וּפָרָשִׁיםall of them clothedלְבֻשֵׁי כֻּלָּםsplendidly,מִכְלוֹלa greatרָבassembly,קָהָלwith large shieldצִנָּהand shield,וּמָגֵןwieldingתֹּפְשֵׂיswords,חֲרָבוֹתall of them;כֻּלָּם
Persia,פָּרַסCush,כּוּשׁand Putוּפוּטwith them,אִתָּםall of themכֻּלָּםwith shieldמָגֵןand helmet;וְכוֹבָע
Gomerגֹּמֶרand allוְכָלits troops,אֲגַפֶּיהָBeth-togarmahבֵּית תּוֹגַרְמָהfrom the farthest partsיַרְכְּתֵיof the north,צָפוֹןand allוְ כָּלits troops,אֲגַפָּיוmanyרַבִּיםpeoplesעַמִּיםwith you.אִתָּךְ
Be prepared,הִכֹּןand prepareוְהָכֵןyourself,לְךָyouאַתָּהand allוְכָלyour assemblyקְהָלֶךָthat are assembledהַנִּקְהָלִיםabout you,עָלֶיךָand beוְהָיִיתָa guardלְמִשְׁמָרfor them.לָהֶם
After manyמִ רַבִּיםdaysיָּמִיםyou will be summoned;תִּפָּקֵדat the endבְּאַחֲרִיתof the yearsהַשָּׁנִיםyou will comeתָּבוֹאto a landאֶל אֶרֶץrestoredמְשׁוֹבֶבֶתfrom the sword,מֵחֶרֶבgatheredמְקֻבֶּצֶתfrom manyמֵ רַבִּיםpeoples,עַמִּיםon the mountainsעַל הָרֵיof Israel,יִשְׂרָאֵלwhichאֲשֶׁרhad beenהָיוּa ruinלְחָרְבָּהcontinually;תָּמִידand itוְהִיאwas brought outהוּצָאָהfrom the peoples,מֵעַמִּיםand they liveוְיָשְׁבוּsecurely,לָבֶטַחall of them.כֻּלָּם
And you will go up;וְעָלִיתָlike a stormכַּשֹּׁאָהyou will come;תָבוֹאlike a cloudכֶּעָנָןto coverלְכַסּוֹתthe landהָאָרֶץyou will be,תִּהְיֶהyouאַתָּהand allוְכָלyour troops,אֲגַפֶּיךָand manyוְ רַבִּיםpeoplesעַמִּיםwith you.אוֹתָךְ
ThusכֹּהsaysאָמַרAdonaiאֲדֹנָיYHWH:יְהוִהAnd it will happenוְהָיָהon that dayבַּיּוֹם הַהוּאthat thingsדְבָרִיםwill come upיַעֲלוּinto your heart,עַל לְבָבֶךָand you will deviseוְחָשַׁבְתָּan evilרָעָהscheme,מַחֲשֶׁבֶת
and you will say,וְאָמַרְתָּ“I will go upאֶעֱלֶהagainst a landעַל אֶרֶץof unwalled towns;פְּרָזוֹתI will comeאָבוֹאagainst those at ease,הַשֹּׁקְטִיםwho liveיֹשְׁבֵיsecurely,לָבֶטַחall of themכֻּלָּםlivingיֹשְׁבִיםwithoutבְּאֵיןwall,חוֹמָהand barוּבְרִיחַand doorsוּדְלָתַיִםthey do not have,”אֵין לָהֶם
to takeלִשְׁלֹלspoilשָׁלָלand to seizeוְלָבֹזplunder,בַּזto turnלְהָשִׁיבyour handיָדְךָagainst the ruinsעַל חֳרָבוֹתnow inhabited,נוֹשָׁבֹתand against a peopleוְאֶל עַםgatheredמְאֻסָּףfrom nations,מִגּוֹיִםwho have acquiredעֹשֶׂהlivestockמִקְנֶהand goods,וְקִנְיָןwho liveיֹשְׁבֵיatעַלthe navelטַבּוּרof the earth.הָאָרֶץ
Shebaשְׁבָאand Dedanוּדְדָןand the merchantsוְסֹחֲרֵיof Tarshishתַרְשִׁישׁand allוְכָלits young lionsכְּפִרֶיהָwill sayיֹאמְרוּto you,לְךָ“Is it to takeהֲלִשְׁלֹלspoilשָׁלָלthat youאַתָּהcome?בָאIs it to seizeהֲלָבֹזplunderבַּזthat you have assembledהִקְהַלְתָּyour assembly,קְהָלֶךָto carry awayלָשֵׂאתsilverכֶּסֶףand gold,וְזָהָבto takeלָקַחַתlivestockמִקְנֶהand goods,וְקִנְיָןto takeלִשְׁלֹלgreatגָּדוֹלspoil?”’שָׁלָל
Thereforeלָכֵןprophesy,הִנָּבֵאsonבֶןof man,אָדָםand sayוְאָמַרְתָּto Gog,לְגוֹג‘ThusכֹּהsaysאָמַרAdonaiאֲדֹנָיYHWH:יְהוִהWill it not be thatהֲלוֹאon that day,בַּיּוֹם הַהוּאwhenבְּmy peopleעַמִּיIsraelיִשְׂרָאֵלlivesשֶׁבֶתsecurely,לָבֶטַחyou will know it?תֵּדָע
And you will comeוּבָאתָfrom your place,מִמְּקוֹמְךָfrom the farthest partsמִיַּרְכְּתֵיof the north,צָפוֹןyouאַתָּהand manyוְ רַבִּיםpeoplesעַמִּיםwith you,אִתָּךְridingרֹכְבֵיhorses,סוּסִיםall of them,כֻּלָּםa greatגָּדוֹלassembly,קָהָלand a numerous army.וְחַיִל רָב
And you will come upוְעָלִיתָagainst my peopleעַל עַמִּיIsraelיִשְׂרָאֵלlike a cloudכֶּעָנָןto coverלְכַסּוֹתthe land;הָאָרֶץin the last daysבְּאַחֲרִית הַיָּמִיםit will be,תִּהְיֶהand I will bring youוַהֲבִאוֹתִיךָagainst my land,עַל אַרְצִיso thatלְמַעַןthe nationsהַגּוֹיִםmay knowדַּעַתme,אֹתִיwhen I am sanctifiedבְּהִקָּדְשִׁיthrough you,בְךָGog,גּוֹגbefore their eyes.לְעֵינֵיהֶם
ThusכֹּהsaysאָמַרAdonaiאֲדֹנָיYHWH:יְהוִהAre youהַאַתָּהthe oneהוּאof whomאֲשֶׁרI spokeדִּבַּרְתִּיin formerבְּ קַדְמוֹנִיםdaysיָמִיםby the handבְּיַדof my servants,עֲבָדַיthe prophetsנְבִיאֵיof Israel,יִשְׂרָאֵלwho prophesiedהַנִּבְּאִיםin those daysבַּיָּמִים הָהֵםfor yearsשָׁנִיםthat I would bringלְהָבִיאyouאֹתְךָagainst them?עֲלֵיהֶם
And it will happenוְהָיָהon that day,בַּיּוֹם הַהוּאon the dayבְּיוֹםwhen Gog comesבּוֹא גוֹגagainst the groundעַל אַדְמַתof Israel,יִשְׂרָאֵלdeclaresנְאֻםAdonaiאֲדֹנָיYHWH,יְהוִהthat my furyחֲמָתִיwill rise upתַּעֲלֶהin my anger.בְּאַפִּי
And in my jealousy,וּבְקִנְאָתִיin the fireבְאֵשׁof my wrath,עֶבְרָתִיI have spoken:דִּבַּרְתִּיSurelyאִם לֹאon that dayבַּיּוֹם הַהוּאthere will beיִהְיֶהa greatגָּדוֹלearthquakeרַעַשׁon the groundעַל אַדְמַתof Israel.יִשְׂרָאֵל
And they will quakeוְרָעֲשׁוּbefore me,מִפָּנַיthe fishדְּגֵיof the sea,הַיָּםand the birdsוְעוֹףof the heavens,הַשָּׁמַיִםand the animalsוְחַיַּתof the field,הַשָּׂדֶהand everyוְכָלcreeping thingהָרֶמֶשׂthat creepsהָרֹמֵשׂon the ground,עַל הָאֲדָמָהand everyוְכֹלhuman beingהָאָדָםthatאֲשֶׁרis on the faceעַל פְּנֵיof the ground;הָאֲדָמָהand the mountainsהֶהָרִיםwill be thrown down,וְנֶהֶרְסוּand the steep placesוְ הַמַּדְרֵגוֹתwill fall,נָפְלוּand everyוְכָלwallחוֹמָהwill fallתִּפּוֹלto the earth.לָאָרֶץ
And I will callוְקָרָאתִיagainst himעָלָיוto allלְכָלmy mountainsהָרַיfor a sword,חֶרֶבdeclaresנְאֻםAdonaiאֲדֹנָיYHWH;יְהוִהthe swordחֶרֶבof each oneאִישׁwill beתִּהְיֶהagainst his brother.בְּאָחִיו
And I will enter into judgmentוְנִשְׁפַּטְתִּיwith himאִתּוֹwith pestilenceבְּדֶבֶרand with blood;וּבְדָםand torrential rain,וְגֶשֶׁם שׁוֹטֵףand hailstones,וְאַבְנֵי אֶלְגָּבִישׁfire,אֵשׁand sulfurוְגָפְרִיתI will rainאַמְטִירon himעָלָיוand onוְעַלhis troops,אֲגַפָּיוand onוְעַלthe manyרַבִּיםpeoplesעַמִּיםwhoאֲשֶׁרare with him.אִתּוֹ
And I will magnify myselfוְהִתְגַּדִּלְתִּיand sanctify myself,וְהִתְקַדִּשְׁתִּיand I will make myself knownוְנוֹדַעְתִּיin the eyesלְעֵינֵיof manyרַבִּיםnations;גּוֹיִםand they will knowוְיָדְעוּthatכִּיI amאֲנִיYHWH.’”יְהוָה
