Andκαὶlargeπολλοίcrowdsὄχλοιgatheredσυνήχθησανaroundπρὸςhim,αὐτὸνso thatὥστεheαὐτὸνgotἐμβάνταintoεἰςa boatπλοῖονand sat there;καθῆσθαιandκαὶthe wholeπᾶςcrowdὁ ὄχλοςwas standingεἱστήκειonἐπὶthe shore.τὸν αἰγιαλὸν
Andκαὶhe toldἐλάλησενthemαὐτοῖςmany thingsπολλὰinἐνparables,παραβολαῖςsaying,λέγων“Look,Ἰδοὺthe sowerὁ σπείρωνwent outἐξῆλθενto sow.τοῦ σπείρειν
Andκαὶasἐν τῷheαὐτὸνsowed,σπείρεινsome seedsἃfellἔπεσενalongπαρὰthe path,τὴν ὁδόνandκαὶthe birdsτὰ πετεινὰcameἐλθόνταand ateκατέφαγενthemαὐτάup.κατέφαγεν
Other seedsἄλλαfellἔπεσενonἐπὶthe rocky ground,τὰ πετρώδηwhereὅπουthey did notοὐκhaveεἶχενmuchπολλήνsoil;γῆνandκαὶat onceεὐθέωςthey sprang up,ἐξανέτειλενbecauseδιὰ τὸthey did notμὴhaveἔχεινdepthβάθοςof soil.γῆς
Butδὲwhen the sunἡλίουrose,ἀνατείλαντοςthey were scorched,ἐκαυματίσθηandκαὶbecauseδιὰ τὸthey did notμὴhaveἔχεινroot,ῥίζανthey withered.ἐξηράνθη
Other seedsἄλλαfellἔπεσενamongἐπὶthe thorns,τὰς ἀκάνθαςandκαὶthe thornsαἱ ἄκανθαιcame upἀνέβησανandκαὶchokedἔπνιξανthem.αὐτά
Andδὲother seedsἄλλαfellἔπεσενonἐπὶthe goodτὴν καλὴνsoilτὴν γῆνandκαὶwere producingἐδίδουfruit,καρπόνsomeὃa hundredfold,ἑκατὸνsomeὃsixtyfold,ἑξήκονταsomeὃthirtyfold.τριάκοντα
The one whoὁhasἔχωνears,ὦταlet him hear.”ἀκουέτω
AndΚαὶthe disciplesοἱ μαθηταὶcameπροσελθόντεςand saidεἶπανto him,αὐτῷ“WhyΔιὰ τίdo you speakλαλεῖςto themαὐτοῖςinἐνparables?”παραβολαῖς
Butδὲheὁansweredἀποκριθεὶςand saidεἶπενto them,αὐτοῖς“BecauseὍτιto youὑμῖνit has been givenδέδοταιto knowγνῶναιthe mysteriesτὰ μυστήριαof the kingdomτῆς βασιλείαςof heaven,τῶν οὐρανῶνbutδὲto themἐκείνοιςit has notοὐbeen given.δέδοται
Forγὰρwhoeverὅστιςhas,ἔχειmore will be givenδοθήσεταιto him,αὐτῷandκαὶhe will have an abundance;περισσευθήσεταιbutδὲwhoeverὅστιςdoes notοὐκhave,ἔχειevenκαὶwhatὃhe hasἔχειwill be taken awayἀρθήσεταιfromἀπ’him.αὐτοῦ
This is whyδιὰ τοῦτοI speakλαλῶto themαὐτοῖςinἐνparables:παραβολαῖςbecauseὅτιseeingβλέποντεςthey do notοὐsee,βλέπουσινandκαὶhearingἀκούοντεςthey do notοὐκhear,ἀκούουσινnorοὐδὲdo they understand.συνίουσιν
Andκαὶin themαὐτοῖςthe prophecyἡ προφητείαof IsaiahἨσαΐουis being fulfilled,ἀναπληροῦταιwhichἡsays,λέγουσα‘You will indeed hearἈκοῇ ἀκούσετεandκαὶneverοὐ μὴunderstand,συνῆτεandκαὶyou will indeed seeβλέποντες βλέψετεandκαὶneverοὐ μὴperceive.ἴδητε
Forγὰρthe heartἡ καρδίαof thisτοῦ τούτουpeopleλαοῦhas grown dull,ἐπαχύνθηandκαὶwith their earsτοῖς ὠσὶνthey have heardἤκουσανwith difficulty,βαρέωςandκαὶthey have closedἐκάμμυσανtheirαὐτῶνeyes,τοὺς ὀφθαλμοὺςso that they do notμήποτεseeἴδωσινwith their eyesτοῖς ὀφθαλμοῖςandκαὶhearἀκούσωσινwith their earsτοῖς ὠσὶνandκαὶunderstandσυνῶσινwith their heartτῇ καρδίᾳandκαὶturn,ἐπιστρέψωσινandκαὶI will healἰάσομαιthem.’αὐτούς
Butδὲhappyμακάριοιareyourὑμῶνeyes,οἱ ὀφθαλμοὶbecauseὅτιthey see,βλέπουσινandκαὶyourὑμῶνears,τὰ ὦταbecauseὅτιthey hear.ἀκούουσιν
ForγὰρtrulyἀμὴνI tellλέγωyouὑμῖνthatὅτιmanyπολλοὶprophetsπροφῆταιandκαὶrighteous peopleδίκαιοιlongedἐπεθύμησανto seeἰδεῖνwhatἃyou see,βλέπετεandκαὶdid notοὐκsee it,εἶδανandκαὶto hearἀκοῦσαιwhatἃyou hear,ἀκούετεandκαὶdid notοὐκhear it.ἤκουσαν
Soοὖνyou,Ὑμεῖςhearἀκούσατεthe parableτὴν παραβολὴνof the sower.τοῦ σπείραντος
When anyoneπαντὸςhearsἀκούοντοςthe wordτὸν λόγονof the kingdomτῆς βασιλείαςandκαὶdoes notμὴunderstand it,συνιέντοςthe evil oneὁ πονηρὸςcomesἔρχεταιandκαὶsnatches awayἁρπάζειwhatτὸhas been sownἐσπαρμένονinἐνhisαὐτοῦheart;τῇ καρδίᾳthisοὗτόςisἐστινthe oneὁsownσπαρείςalongπαρὰthe path.τὴν ὁδὸν
Andδὲthe oneὁsownσπαρείςonἐπὶthe rocky ground,τὰ πετρώδηthisοὗτόςisἐστινthe one whoὁhearsἀκούωνthe wordτὸν λόγονandκαὶat onceεὐθὺςreceivesλαμβάνωνitαὐτόνwithμετὰjoy;χαρᾶς
yetδὲhe hasἔχειnoοὐκrootῥίζανinἐνhimself,ἑαυτῷbutἀλλὰisἐστινshort-lived;πρόσκαιρόςandδὲwhen afflictionθλίψεωςorἢpersecutionδιωγμοῦcomesγενομένηςon account ofδιὰthe word,τὸν λόγονat onceεὐθὺςhe falls away.σκανδαλίζεται
Andδὲthe oneὁsownσπαρείςamongεἰςthe thorns,τὰς ἀκάνθαςthisοὗτόςisἐστινthe one whoὁhearsἀκούωνthe word,τὸν λόγονandκαὶthe worryἡ μέριμναof thisτοῦ τούτουageαἰῶνοςandκαὶthe deceitfulnessἡ ἀπάτηof wealthτοῦ πλούτουchokeσυμπνίγειthe word,τὸν λόγονandκαὶit becomesγίνεταιunfruitful.ἄκαρπος
Andδὲthe oneὁsownσπαρείςonἐπὶthe goodτὴν καλὴνsoil,γῆνthisοὗτόςisἐστινthe one whoὁhearsἀκούωνthe wordτὸν λόγονandκαὶunderstands it,συνιείςwhoὃςindeedδὴbears fruitκαρποφορεῖandκαὶproduces,ποιεῖsomeὃa hundredfold,ἑκατὸνsomeὃsixtyfold,ἑξήκονταsomeὃthirtyfold.”τριάκοντα
He put beforeπαρέθηκενthemαὐτοῖςanotherἌλληνparable,παραβολὴνsaying,λέγων“The kingdomἡ βασιλείαof heavenτῶν οὐρανῶνhas become likeὩμοιώθηa manἀνθρώπῳwho sowedσπείραντιgoodκαλὸνseedσπέρμαinἐνhisαὐτοῦfield.τῷ ἀγρῷ
Butδὲwhileἐν τῷpeopleτοὺς ἀνθρώπουςwere sleeping,καθεύδεινhisαὐτοῦenemyὁ ἐχθρὸςcameἦλθενandκαὶsowedἐπέσπειρενdarnelζιζάνιαamongἀνὰ μέσονthe wheatτοῦ σίτουandκαὶwent away.ἀπῆλθεν
Andδὲwhenὅτεthe plantsὁ χόρτοςsproutedἐβλάστησενandκαὶproducedἐποίησενgrain,καρπὸνthenτότεthe darnelτὰ ζιζάνιαappearedἐφάνηalso.καὶ
Andδὲthe slavesοἱ δοῦλοιof the master of the houseτοῦ οἰκοδεσπότουcameπροσελθόντεςand saidεἶπονto him,αὐτῷ‘Master,Κύριεdid you notοὐχὶsowἔσπειραςgoodκαλὸνseedσπέρμαinἐνyourσῷfield?τῷ ἀγρῷThenοὖνwhereπόθενdoes it getἔχειdarnel?’ζιζάνια
Andδὲheὁsaidἔφηto them,αὐτοῖς‘An enemyἘχθρὸς ἄνθρωποςhas doneἐποίησενthis.’τοῦτοAndδὲthe slavesοἱ δοῦλοιsayλέγουσινto him,αὐτῷ‘Thenοὖνdo you wantΘέλειςus to goἀπελθόντεςand gatherσυλλέξωμενthem?’αὐτά
Butδέheὁsays,φησιν‘No,Οὔso thatμήποτεwhile gatheringσυλλέγοντεςthe darnelτὰ ζιζάνιαyou do notμήποτεuprootἐκριζώσητεthe wheatτὸν σῖτονalong withἅμαthem.αὐτοῖς
Letἄφετεbothἀμφότεραgrow togetherσυναυξάνεσθαιuntilμέχριthe harvest;τοῦ θερισμοῦandκαὶatἐνharvest timeκαιρῷ τοῦ θερισμοῦI will tellἐρῶthe reapers,τοῖς θερισταῖς“GatherΣυλλέξατεthe darnelτὰ ζιζάνιαfirstπρῶτονandκαὶtieδήσατεitαὐτὰinεἰςbundlesδέσμαςtoπρὸς τὸburnκατακαῦσαιit,αὐτάbutδὲgatherσυναγάγετεthe wheatτὸν σῖτονintoεἰςmyμουbarn.”’”τὴν ἀποθήκην
He put beforeπαρέθηκενthemαὐτοῖςanotherἌλληνparable,παραβολὴνsaying,λέγων“The kingdomἡ βασιλείαof heavenτῶν οὐρανῶνisἐστὶνlikeὉμοίαa grainκόκκῳof mustard,σινάπεωςwhichὃνa manἄνθρωποςtookλαβὼνand sowedἔσπειρενinἐνhisαὐτοῦfield;τῷ ἀγρῷ
itὃisἐστινsmallerμικρότερονthan allπάντωνthe seeds,τῶν σπερμάτωνbutδὲwhenὅτανit has grown,αὐξηθῇit isἐστὶνgreaterμεῖζονthan the garden plantsτῶν λαχάνωνandκαὶbecomesγίνεταιa tree,δένδρονso thatὥστεthe birdsτὰ πετεινὰof the skyτοῦ οὐρανοῦcomeἐλθεῖνandκαὶnestκατασκηνοῦνinἐνitsαὐτοῦbranches.”τοῖς κλάδοις
He toldἐλάλησενthemαὐτοῖςanotherἌλληνparable:παραβολὴν“The kingdomἡ βασιλείαof heavenτῶν οὐρανῶνisἐστὶνlikeὉμοίαyeastζύμῃthatἣνa womanγυνὴtookλαβοῦσαand hidἐνέκρυψενinεἰςthreeτρίαmeasuresσάταof flourἀλεύρουuntilἕως οὗall of itὅλονwas leavened.”ἐζυμώθη
Allπάνταthese thingsΤαῦταJesusὁ Ἰησοῦςspokeἐλάλησενto the crowdsτοῖς ὄχλοιςinἐνparables,παραβολαῖςandκαὶwithoutχωρὶςa parableπαραβολῆςhe was tellingἐλάλειthemαὐτοῖςnothing,οὐδὲν
so thatὅπωςwhatτὸwas spokenῥηθὲνthroughδιὰthe prophetτοῦ προφήτουmight be fulfilled,πληρωθῇwhen hesays,λέγοντος“I will openἈνοίξωmyμουmouthτὸ στόμαinἐνparables;παραβολαῖςI will pour outἐρεύξομαιthings hiddenκεκρυμμέναsinceἀπὸthe foundation of the world.”καταβολῆς
ThenΤότεleavingἀφεὶςthe crowds,τοὺς ὄχλουςhe wentἦλθενintoεἰςthe house.τὴν οἰκίανAndκαὶhisαὐτοῦdisciplesοἱ μαθηταὶcameπροσῆλθονto him,αὐτῷsaying,λέγοντες“ExplainΔιασάφησονto usἡμῖνthe parableτὴν παραβολὴνof the darnelτῶν ζιζανίωνof the field.”τοῦ ἀγροῦ
Heὁansweredἀποκριθεὶςand said,εἶπεν“The one whoὉsowsσπείρωνthe goodτὸ καλὸνseedσπέρμαisἐστὶνthe Sonὁ υἱὸςof Man;τοῦ ἀνθρώπου
andδὲthe fieldὁ ἀγρόςisἐστινthe world;ὁ κόσμοςandδὲthe goodτὸ καλὸνseed,σπέρμαtheseοὗτοίareεἰσινthe sonsοἱ υἱοὶof the kingdom;τῆς βασιλείαςandδὲthe darnelτὰ ζιζάνιάareεἰσινthe sonsοἱ υἱοὶof the evil one;τοῦ πονηροῦ
andδὲthe enemyὁ ἐχθρὸςwhoὁsowedσπείραςthemαὐτάisἐστινthe devil;ὁ διάβολοςandδὲthe harvestὁ θερισμὸςisἐστινthe endσυντέλειαof the age;αἰῶνόςandδὲthe reapersοἱ θερισταὶareεἰσινangels.ἄγγελοί
Soοὖνjust asὥσπερthe darnelτὰ ζιζάνιαis gatheredσυλλέγεταιandκαὶburnedκαίεταιwith fire,πυρὶsoοὕτωςit will beἔσταιatἐνthe endτῇ συντελείᾳof the age.τοῦ αἰῶνος
The Sonὁ υἱὸςof Manτοῦ ἀνθρώπουwill sendἀποστελεῖhisαὐτοῦangels,τοὺς ἀγγέλουςandκαὶthey will gatherσυλλέξουσινout ofἐκhisαὐτοῦkingdomτῆς βασιλείαςallπάνταthe causes of stumblingτὰ σκάνδαλαandκαὶthose whoτοὺςdoποιοῦνταςlawlessness,τὴν ἀνομίαν
andκαὶthey will throwβαλοῦσινthemαὐτοὺςintoεἰςthe furnaceτὴν κάμινονof fire;τοῦ πυρόςthereἐκεῖwill beἔσταιweepingὁ κλαυθμὸςandκαὶgnashingὁ βρυγμὸςof teeth.τῶν ὀδόντων
ThenΤότεthe righteousοἱ δίκαιοιwill shine outἐκλάμψουσινlikeὡςthe sunὁ ἥλιοςinἐνthe kingdomτῇ βασιλείᾳof theirαὐτῶνFather.τοῦ πατρὸςThe one whoὁhasἔχωνears,ὦταlet him hear.ἀκουέτω
The kingdomἡ βασιλείαof heavenτῶν οὐρανῶνisἐστὶνlikeὉμοίαtreasureθησαυρῷhiddenκεκρυμμένῳinἐνthe field,τῷ ἀγρῷwhichὃνa manἄνθρωποςfoundεὑρὼνand hid;ἔκρυψενandκαὶinἀπὸhisαὐτοῦjoyτῆς χαρᾶςhe goesὑπάγειandκαὶsellsπωλεῖallπάνταthatὅσαhe hasἔχειandκαὶbuysἀγοράζειthatἐκεῖνονfield.τὸν ἀγρὸν
Again,Πάλινthe kingdomἡ βασιλείαof heavenτῶν οὐρανῶνisἐστὶνlikeὁμοίαa merchantἀνθρώπῳ ἐμπόρῳseekingζητοῦντιfineκαλοὺςpearls;μαργαρίτας
andδὲfindingεὑρὼνoneἕναvery valuableπολύτιμονpearl,μαργαρίτηνhe went awayἀπελθὼνand soldπέπρακενallπάνταthatὅσαhe hadεἶχενandκαὶboughtἠγόρασενit.αὐτόν
Again,Πάλινthe kingdomἡ βασιλείαof heavenτῶν οὐρανῶνisἐστὶνlikeὁμοίαa dragnetσαγήνῃthrownβληθείσῃintoεἰςthe seaτὴν θάλασσανandκαὶgatheringσυναγαγούσῃfish ofἐκeveryπαντὸςkind;γένους
whenὅτεitἣνwas full,ἐπληρώθηthey hauled it upἀναβιβάσαντεςontoἐπὶthe shoreτὸν αἰγιαλὸνandκαὶsat downκαθίσαντεςand gatheredσυνέλεξανthe good onesτὰ καλὰintoεἰςcontainers,ἄγγηbutδὲthrewἔβαλονthe bad onesτὰ σαπρὰaway.ἔξω
Soοὕτωςit will beἔσταιatἐνthe endτῇ συντελείᾳof the age:τοῦ αἰῶνοςthe angelsοἱ ἄγγελοιwill go outἐξελεύσονταιandκαὶseparateἀφοριοῦσινthe evilτοὺς πονηροὺςfromἐκamongμέσουthe righteousτῶν δικαίων
andκαὶthey will throwβαλοῦσινthemαὐτοὺςintoεἰςthe furnaceτὴν κάμινονof fire;τοῦ πυρόςthereἐκεῖwill beἔσταιweepingὁ κλαυθμὸςandκαὶgnashingὁ βρυγμὸςof teeth.”τῶν ὀδόντων
“Have you understoodΣυνήκατεallπάνταthese things?”ταῦταThey sayλέγουσινto him,αὐτῷ“Yes.”Ναί
Andδὲheὁsaidεἶπενto them,αὐτοῖς“ThereforeΔιὰ τοῦτοeveryπᾶςscribeγραμματεὺςwho has been made a discipleμαθητευθεὶςfor the kingdomτῇ βασιλείᾳof heavenτῶν οὐρανῶνisἐστινlikeὅμοιόςa man,ἀνθρώπῳa master of a house,οἰκοδεσπότῃwhoὅστιςbrings outἐκβάλλειofἐκhisαὐτοῦtreasureτοῦ θησαυροῦnew thingsκαινὰandκαὶold.”παλαιά
Andκαὶit happenedἐγένετοwhenὅτεJesusὁ Ἰησοῦςhad finishedἐτέλεσενtheseταύταςparablesτὰς παραβολὰςthat he went awayμετῆρενfrom there.ἐκεῖθεν
Andκαὶcomingἐλθὼνtoεἰςhisαὐτοῦhometown,τὴν πατρίδαhe was teachingἐδίδασκενthemαὐτοὺςinἐνtheirαὐτῶνsynagogue,τῇ συναγωγῇso thatὥστεtheyαὐτοὺςwere astonishedἐκπλήσσεσθαιandκαὶsaid,λέγειν“WhereΠόθενdid this man getτούτῳthisαὕτηwisdomἡ σοφίαandκαὶthe miracles?αἱ δυνάμεις
Isἐστινthisοὗτόςnotοὐχthe carpenter’sτοῦ τέκτονοςson?ὁ υἱόςIs notοὐχhisαὐτοῦmotherἡ μήτηρcalledλέγεταιMary,Μαριὰμandκαὶhisαὐτοῦbrothersοἱ ἀδελφοὶJamesἸάκωβοςandκαὶJosephἸωσὴφandκαὶSimonΣίμωνandκαὶJudas?Ἰούδας
Andκαὶhisαὐτοῦsisters,αἱ ἀδελφαὶare theyεἰσινnotοὐχὶallπᾶσαιwithπρὸςus?ἡμᾶςWhereπόθενthenοὖνdid this man getτούτῳallπάνταthese things?”ταῦτα
Andκαὶthey stumbledἐσκανδαλίζοντοoverἐνhim.αὐτῷButδὲJesusὁ Ἰησοῦςsaidεἶπενto them,αὐτοῖς“A prophetπροφήτηςisἔστινnotΟὐκwithout honorἄτιμοςexceptεἰ μὴinἐνhis hometownτῇ πατρίδιandκαὶinἐνhisαὐτοῦhouse.”τῇ οἰκίᾳ
Andκαὶhe did notοὐκdoἐποίησενmanyπολλὰςmiraclesδυνάμειςthereἐκεῖbecause ofδιὰtheirαὐτῶνunbelief.τὴν ἀπιστίαν
